My wife and I both have degenerative arthritis. She also suffers from fibromyalgia and bad restless legs related to an iron absorption issue. I have ulcerative colitis. We have our go-to strains but at times needs to switch things up. Chronic pain can also come with occasion anxiety when pain gets bad. We find that slurricane gives us the most broad relief. It can be sedating so a strain called Slurty3 gives it a nice uplift for daytime use. For pain though nothing beats mandarin sunset for us.

My best advice is learn about terpenes. Especially if you are growing primarily for medical use. Where there is pain, there is inflammation. Just how the body works. There are a few anti-inflammatory terpenes. Beta Caryophillene is one of the most abundant terpenes in cannabis. It's the peppery part of black pepper. It's a great anti-inflammatory. It's also in herbs like basil and mint. It's the trrpenes that with provide the therapeutic benefits in your smoke and your food. I also use that knowledge to incorporate into your cooking. Grow or buy fresh herbs or at least fill your spice rack like it was your medicine cabinet.

Personally I grow for terps first.

I started a Green Crack feminized grow from Cropking seeds and ran into all kinds of problems—leaf issues, lighting, nitrogen deficiencies, you name it. But after digging through grow logs on the forum, I’ve managed to turn things around. Now, take a look at the results! The plants are almost ready for harvest.

I've got arthritis going on. And nothing in the weed world helps at all with pain or function. Just adjusts the head to take the mind off of it a slight amount when eaten. The wife and I have found out it's pretty worthless as a medicine like so many claim it is. She is epileptic and nothing in the weed world helped her as flu made it worse. Just had to change up and get her pharma right....

Hello Fellow Growers,

I’m Davis, a 44-year-old gardener with some successful cannabis grows under my belt. I’m looking for advice on strains that can help with my worsening arthritis pain.

I have intermediate growing skills and would appreciate any strain recommendations and growing tips, whether for indoor or outdoor setups.

Thanks for having me. I look forward to learning from you all.

Best,
Davis

You can make this with just THC strains, it should help😉

I am diabetic but thankfully have no nerve pain. Wife had a stroke and has nerve pain on her left side and nothing thc/cbd works or pharma. My neck has been out for a week and nothing the/cbd has worked. But Soma and Whiskey helps.
Soma is great but addictive so be careful. Whiskey makes everything better😉

When I make this stuff I do the thc and cbd separate and tried both individually. The thc still helps with pain but I felt nothing from just the cbd. I've smoked the cbd and nada. I didn't expect anything but the research has shown it to be an effective anti-inflammatory. My wife swears by this stuff. If you're growing you should try it😉
