Just wanted to get the thoughts of other growers. I have 12 plants outdoors. 15 gallon fabric pots, half Maui and half fritter glitter, feeding AN Sensibloom along with some other goodies. I'm up to feeding each plant every other day now as they seem thirsty. I'm probably in about mid flower at this point - 5 or so more weeks to go.

Found Bud rot on one of the Buds on Friday. First, I didn't really know what I was looking at but it didn't look right. It was dark and crumbled when I pinched it. It also smelled off compared to other buds. I pinched it out the best I could and left the rest of the Bud. Been watching it and so far it looks fine. Then yesterday I found this white shit on a few leaves that were hiding. I looked it up on line and it looks pretty obvious that it's PM. I pinched those leaves off. I hit everything with CannControl last night and gave the infected area's a good extra helping.

Would you guys recommend just removing that whole Bud that had rot? Also, to help with the PW, should I thin the plant out a bit more - defoliate?

I vote defoliate some! Kind of your call on the rot. I just get caterpillar rot. So I Generally, don’t take the whole bud! Take enough to make sure the cat is gone. But if it is environmental rot, you may have to take a lot more! Every situation is different. Making decisions like that is where you start to earn your dough ! Good luck!

Thanks. I'm not sure what the difference is between the two types of Rot. I'm just going to watch it. If it starts to come back, I'll take the whole Bud. No sense risking the whole damn plant over a single Bud.

Cat damage usually confines itself to a small area! Environmental rot can spread like wildfire and exact a terrible toll!

i came here to ask about bud rot, must be fate.lol
personally i'd toss the whole bud and hope it didn't spread. just my 2 cents though.
now why i came here,
i have 3 autos in a planter that are/were almost done that have bud rot and a few more autos in pots a couple weeks into veg beside them.
i tossed the 3 plants as bud rot scares me, but would/could the bud rot mold spread to the vegging girls?
i want to bring them inside with other flowering girls but not sure if i should.
opinions?
thanks

You’re Call! Botyris Spores Probably have been on your plant since the first week of growing! Just waiting for the perfect storm of conditions! It’s the same mold on buds that can attack a stalk And kill a plant in a few days! Depending on conditions, you may or may not get away with it! We are getting into the time of year, where the perfect storm of conditions becomes more and more common! And it is far from being the only mold, or fungus that starts rearing its ugly head this time of year! Keep your left up!

the potted girls are now inside with plenty of air flow at 26c and 45-50 RH.
thanks.
and good luck cape as i didn't want to steal your thread, but i think every bit of knowledge will help us both

keep plants as healthy green as possible,.

Pluck out the bad spot. Someone will tell you what to treat it with, I’m not qualified.

It's way too early to harvest, it all depends on if the Rot gotnunto the stem or not. I typically toss the whole branch but when you end up with pounds a few branches don't matter it's all perspective and risk/reward ✌️
