I was told the best way to harvest marijuana was to pull it out by the roots and hang it upside down a couple people told me they just cut them off at the dirt what is the best way

Definitely chop the plant and either hang it whole or in pieces to meet the needs of your space and humidity constraints. I've not heard of hanging with the roots, but I'm also not very experienced. 🤷

By the root ball, lol!
Sounds messy!
Chop at the stalk or by the branch

I chopped mine up and hung them. Dried out in 6 days branches snapped. I just jarred it today. Good luck. This was my first time. Thereafter bit fluffy I am hoping after the curing and burping they will tighten.
