And we officially have our first signs of life! Damn I'm so excited, I can't wait to see how they look tomorrow morning.

Keeping the humidity high by misting the inside of the tent with filtered water.

I fear I may have left the pucks in a pool of water for a little too long, but I have poured off the excess and allowed them to dry out a little to really encourage the roots to stretch to find that delicious moisture.

My initial thinking with the aluminium BBQ tray was that it would absorb some ambient heat and kind of act like a bootleg heating pad in a way. Unfortunately even in 100 degree weather this wasn't the case and the tray is still cool to the touch.

However, I am now thinking the shininess of the tray will reflect some of the light back up onto the bottom of the leaves ensuring all parts of the leaf sites receive light. I have no idea if this will make a noticeable difference, but I like to dream lol.

I've got some of this leftover citric acid from a little experiment I did with mescaline citrate.

For the life of me I can't remember if it's anhydrous or monohydrate though I'll have to look into the brand again.

I'm wondering if this can be used to adjust the pH of liquid nute/water solutions before applying to the plants when they are ready?

I've also got some leftover calcium hydroxide from my mescaline experiments.

This is typically used for basifying acidic solutions, so I'm assuming it can also be used for adjusting pH of nutrients water?

Well, you’ve got a 16.66666% success rate so far! Got a little ways to go but you’ll get there! Or to put it another way, you are batting 166! If you don’t bring that average up , I think we’re gonna have to trade you!😁✌️

Haha you're not wrong! But I must implore you not to count my eggs before they hatch ;) I think you may be surprised by tomorrow's update.

Struggling to sleep so I figured I would do a little more tinkering, I've mixed up some organic npk solution. Into nine liters of filtered water I have added 5mL of seaweed extract containing NPK.

I am yet to purchase a ppm pen but just using an online calculator I have gotten a rough approximation.

According to my ratios the ppm of N= 79 P= 4 and K= 38

I won't be using this until the seedlings are around a month old I just figured I would mix it up now as I had nothing to do with my hands.

I am unsure of the nutrient content of the peat pucks the seedlings are currently in, given this I thought I would do a little experiment at the potential expense of one of my babies. I have shifted 7 of the pucks to one side and quarantined the 8th. For the 7 I will leave them without nutes until 4 weeks of age. For the 8th I will lightly mist the leaves each day or each second day. I understand this could potentially kill the 8th seedling which is a risk I am willing to take for the sake of science.

I am curious to observe the effect the npk solution has on the 8th seedling in comparison to the controlled 7 seedlings. I will be documenting any signs of accelerated growth or any signs of stunted growth.

I know you guys are probably screaming at your screens right now telling me to stop before I kill the 8th seedling, but I fear this is a necessary sacrifice to develop my visual understanding of the lifecycle of cannabis.

Some guy recently Implored me not to count his chicks before they hatched!🐣 😆
Hahahahaha you know there's no comebacks I could think of for that. I know most people would recommend against my experiment, as it needlessly risks the life of the seedling. But damn as a graduated university student I just have this insatiable craving for knowledge and when it gets bad nobody can tell me no lmao.

You should set a timer for 72 hours so you can come back and point and laugh at me when the 8th seedling is dead xD

As my Guru taught me, to fuck around is holy, and to find out is divine :)

I know where you’re coming from! I have killed or Disfigured many a pot plant exploring the what ifs! Good luck!
