Hey Friends,

I’m just a pothead hoping to start growing and looking for community =) I’ve got a book to guide me from Mr. Grow It and looking to make friends with like minded individuals =) I’m retired Navy and now a biology teacher, and look forward to getting to know everyone!

Oh yeah, married, wife, 3 kids, live in Florida but moving to a state where growing is legal (one of my requirements for the move was legal pot and legal growing!)

Welcome to the Farm! Great place for community! Tons of veterans on this site as well, and good folks in general also!

Im in cali! Where abouts are trying to make it state wise? (Don’t have to answer if not comfortable) my wife and I would love to move out of cali and get into something more north of us. Nursing coalitions and unions get really weak and shitty the further east you go from us so thats our big factor. ✌️

Heya, right now we are looking at New York. Going to head up there in July to check it out. My father in law lives in LA and he’s looking to move too.

Are you planning to grow inside or outside? You can grow a couple plants inside under much more controlled environment so I'm guessing inside. The 3 types of seed you see most are regular (males and females but big plants which isn't an advantage inside), Feminized (only ladies, all bud - most of the time), or autos (not light dependant so outside patio lights won't bother them). There are advantages and disadvantages to each group but it depends on what you want.

As a biology teacher you already have an interest in plants ! This should be a lot of fun for you.

Yep that’s why I’m excited to do this =) I’m even going back to school for a masters and I’m going to focus on botany =) I was going to start with two plants on my patio when the warmer weather gets here. After we move to wherever we are going to move to I’ll invest in a nice indoor grow outfit. But for now I have the temperature on my side, and I want to start small then after that I’m going to dream big =)

I don't dream big but like to stay small. It's a hobby, not something that controls my life.

Current inside grow the 2 plants are about a foot tall. Still lots of fun.
