My power is out when lights are supposed to come on I’m in flowering 13 on and 11 off atm…is it ok for them to get more darkness than usual till the power comes back on?? I can’t open the tent and windows to let sunlight in just can’t no way around it!!

I mean, if you can open a window or open the tent up and allow some light in if the light needs to come on, but your power still out that’s the best thing to do. It doesn’t matter if it’s not like as powerful as your lights output is there’s overcast days in nature on a regular basis as long as the plants can see and fuel and since light It’ll be no harm no foul and even if you do, keep them blacked out and zipped up in the tent it’ll be fine. You should just start your lights on cycle from when the power comes back on from here on out in order to offset the difference in time.

Also, i may suggest a hood reliable lithium ion box to plug you lanps in when this happens
I use an i river $300

It pays itself off in peace of mind, always knowing that no matter what if the power goes out, you’ll have that box to run. It’ll hold your light and keep it going as long as you just keep your light cranked all the way down to like zero you can get a good shit 12 hours 16 hours out of one of those boxes depending on what your live wattage draw is I use mine to keep my rig going while I set up my generators if it’s gonna be a long haul type of situation

Yeah ive thought about getting one just didn’t before funds got low damnit lol…my power is supposed to be out till 5 pm today and that’s when my lights go off again… I’d open a window but it’s illegal here and I have very close neighbors

One night extra off darkness won’t cause no harm

You’d have to consistently disrupt the light hours to have any harmful effect
They are fixing to get a full 35 hours of darkness lol

Yeah, you don’t need to like open your curtains or anything either like the ambient light that is in your house would be,
Gmix is right tho, itll be fine.
Most issues when it comes to white inconsistency is generally tied back to a faulty timer or a faulty driver where the capacitors are fail and they’re allowing small amounts of electricity to get through causing your LED to flash or there are sometimes issues with daisychaining lights together, where when the lights actually go out They don’t go out completely. They stay on very very very dim and that can cause some issues too these are all just things to know and to keep in the toolbox, but generally speaking light is even present all night long in nature moonlight ain’t nothing so there is a lot of misinformation out there regarding light leaks and growing herb now there can be some issues with it as explained, but there’s also situations where if it’s a low amount of light, but it’s on the entire time of a flowering plants lights out as long as it’s not taking in a whole bunch of lumens like it normally would during the day it’ll be fine now I haven’t done the studying to figure that out myself. This is some newfangled shit that I’ve been hearing lately and I’m not too sure how I feel about it myself. All I know is is that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it you know, but if it were to happen apparently you may live to fight another day sinsimillia

No big deal
But I will say this, you might want to give just a little bit more nutrients in your nutrients mix the next feed because with an extended lights out. Like this basically with the plants doing is dropping everything out of its leaves and it stems back into the medium for the night as a transpires right so the longer period of time it has to do that The more nutrition it has dropped back down into the medium, so I would just I don’t know just accidentally add a little extra drop in your next feed. You know what I meanA spritz
Reason I say that is there are some strains out there that when things like this do go down, they can be really finicky it’s just better to do diligence. I think you’ll be OK and hopefully your power company doesn’t fucking make you wait all the way until five.

My power went out right at 5 am lights on lol and it wasn’t even storming 3 days of tornadoes and high winds and it goes out after it calms down lol…. I was going to leave and go to my moms but I said fk it and opened a window on the side of the house I opened the front of the tent up and now the girls have ambient light not much but hey they think lights on right!!

I keep a couple of solar powered "shed lights" handy. They are pretty cheap, like 2 for $60 and they provide sufficient lights for photo plants to continue to do their thing. They come with 20 ft power cords to the solar panels so they have some reach. If you have normal "lights on" during the day then they will stay lit all day.

My solution to power outage is Deep Cycle Batteries and Power Inverters.

I can run 2 tents on 2 batteries for most of a day, another battery will power my wifi and TV if needed and have a couple for the fridge as well.

Plenty of spares on hand.

Might I suggest.
