That’s exactly what you’re doing. You’re stressing it out. You’re triggering the plants natural defenses and it’s late flower life cycle, happens to be resin production they secrete that shit out like crazy and get fucking up all who shall pass. I think it’s pretty cool actually I wish I had a natural defense. It just got people wasted so they couldn’t do anything.
But applying this method isn’t for the feignt of heart and you gotta be sure handed with your shit you know you gotta know how to handle a knife if that’s the way you’re gonna go because you can really fuck yourself up messing around with that if you’re gonna go to drill route, it’s a lot easier it’s cleaner and the wound stays open on its own without you having to intervene with a wooden dollar you know a screw or something like that But you only do it when there’s two weeks left on the plant that way it doesn’t have enough time to throw any anomalous weird sexual growth that above me out no time for all that just making the plant salty af.
I use a 1/8 drill bit on plants with smaller stocks overall, if you start getting into you know much larger stocks than that that’s when I’ll use a knife and split the wound bigger the plant the bigger the wound needs to be in my opinion and you apply it below all stock growth in order to ensure that the plant is triggering it to the entire set of flowers like I top and mainline my plants to fucking 9 million tops sometimes so it’s just easier to go below everything instead of going stalk by stalk
