Hi I am new to using bottom feeding systems last night I checked the ph of my reservoir and it was at 6.5 and I’m in coco so I downed the reservoir to 5.9 approximately 18 hours later I check again and it’s back at 6.4-6.5 and in the trays 6.9. I have downed to 5.5 now as I read that’s what the reservoir ph should actually be but why is the ph rising so rapidly ? My first thought is the bacteria supplement I’m using advanced nutrients piranha but I read that it should change the ph however I’m going to let the reservoir run out and then stop using the piranha and see if that makes a difference.
What do you guys think??

I keep my rezzes "dead," ie synthetic nutes only, and they're pretty stable. When I want to add anything biologically active, I top feed it manually.
