Terraform 7 - All In One Climate Control

Week 9 Unit delivered 1½ months ahead of original ship date. This is a spendy product, but if you are a lifetime grower it’s worth the investment. Since the tariffs the price has gone up by $100 dollars. It is still only available through pre-order.

The concept is fantastic, and I have been waiting a long time for something to control tent climate. It is designed for up to 10’x10’ tent.

The limitations of using this product to full potential is grow tent design. NOT ONE manufacturer of tents, supplies enough duct ports on any side to allow full configuration. It requires 2 duct ports top of side and 2 bottom of side. Because of this you have to switch out your hose between cool and heat. Still, it beats having to turn space heaters off and on when needed. Same with cooling having to position the AC into the front of the tent.

The manual provides instructions for setup and operation. Did require me to read and understand multiple times.

Took a bit but I have been able to maintain 74°F - 78°F by using the cycle on/off feature. First attempt to run AC the tent went from 80°F to 60°F in minutes. Powerful!!

Check out the 2 in 1 tents. They have a ton of ports.

Thanks for the help. Like I said NO grow tent on the market has four duct ports on a side to do a full installation. In my tent I'd have to dismantle my ventilation and stretch long runs of duct to accomplish full install. Would look like an octopus crawled on top of the tent.

Update: AC Infinity reached out. Their 10x10s and 8x8s have enough ports for full installation. Oh well, not enough room for me to even think about upgrading.

Might have to octopus 🐙 the ducts around the tent. Back to ACI with more questions.

I looked at it long and hard. It's my understanding to use all features requires that you change the configuration of your insulated ductwork. Is that correct? To me, its a good idea that still needs improvement because its not exactly a plug and play option.

Correct me if I am wrong about this please/thank you.

ACI informed me their 10x10s and 8x8s handle full installation. Now I am asking if their 6" duct is compatible and whether I can replace my existing ventilation. If so I can run ducts across the top of my tent to existing ports.

My ACI tent is only a 5 x 5. No room for something that large. I do have an AgroMax oversized 4 x 8 for my other flower tent but I'm unsure without going back there and looking .... how many ports are there. It might not be practical to spiderweb the ductwork on both sides to get everything plugged in.

EVERYONE keep in mind the Terraform 7 is an all-in-one climate control UNIT not a SYSTEM. Every mode requires the ducts be reconfigured to operate. You just don't do a full configuration and switch between modes. The climate probe measures temp, vpd and humidity in real time and is a good thing.

This is exactly my understanding of the system. It's not plug and play in the sense that you can use all modes in a single configuration. You need to configure the ducting different ways to utilize all the features.

Terra Form 7 Update 5/3/2025: Black plastic trash bags taped around exhaust duct. Outside light was shining about 18 inches into the duct. Flowering concern.

Terra7 Unit

Reinstalled Climate probe now that I understand the purpose. Probe reads temperature, vpd and humidity. The unit control panel shows these values in real time and shows changes in the environment.

Terra7 Probe

PROBE: All probe readings include a trend indicator that signals rise, stability, or fall in temperature within the last hour.

Probe Temperature: Displays the current temperature the probe is detecting.

Probe VPD: Displays the current VPD the probe is detecting in (kPa).

Probe Humidity: Displays the current humidity the probe is detecting

My problem with the system is $700 to do something that I already have gear dedicated to accomplishing. I don't have an air conditioner but that's it. I have an ACI UIS system controlling everything and most things its controlling is ACI gear. I'm not ready to part with the $$$ for this one.

Still NO tent has enough duct ports on one side to do a Dry Mode installation. My tent for instance would require 2 25' ducts to plug into the other side of the tent to do that.

Yeah spendy, tariffs rose it another hundred bucks. My justification was PayPal, tired of going in every night to turn on my heaters and pushing the AC into the front of the tent to cool. Since the Terraform I have reduced my intake ventilation to around 82 cfm and increased my exhaust to about 200 cfm. I still have to turn on the heaters at night because we are in that twilight time between winter-spring and I'm ready for Cool Mode.

I'm in the last few weeks of my current run. I usually don't have maturing plants inside this time of year. It's been a bit of a dance to have to manually change settings on my UIS app ... but mine is the model with WIFI so I can adjust things when I am not at home. I'm sold on ACI gear. I'm simply not 100% sold on the need for the Terraform since I'm not usually growing inside this time of the year. It's when I would need the feature I don't currently have ... air conditioning. The basement is vented into the central air but the electric bill with the central air and a cannabis grow going at the same time is pretty expensive!

I'm usually getting ready to move outdoors this time of the year but this season we decided not to.

Sick addition if you do CO2 to close the loop. Have heard mixed reviews on em though. I am also not sold unless you are using CO2. Scared for tariffs. ACI is increasing their prices so often and so much that local stores do a price check before selling their gear. You can look on their bills of lading if you really want to (might have to pay depending on your access). Their trade history in the public domain shows a clear trail from Chinese factories to AC Infinity. Will be an interesting future in the short-term for how they handle this.
