Currently, I have 17 daughters in 5 gallons annd a few 3 gallons grow bag annd they reside in an 4*4*8 grow tent using fox farm soil. They are a handful. Note: One is an auto flower.

As an excited newbie I have lots of lessons learned and I learn on a daily basis about each phase, lighting, humidity, temps, scheduling, growth, pest control, etc. I have three different lights and my daughters are 2 to 5 weeks old. The left side of their house was started first until I was able to the light for the right side and I added another light in the middle this week. Almost half started using the paper towel method and started in direct soil.

To say I learned a lot is an understatement. First lesson - to label the strain. Since I’m not a smoker, I didn’t see it as an important. Each one of my girls are all spoiled and by not labeling them it’s a learn as I go. Note: I purchased from four different seed banks a year ago so all in all I had over 40 seeds about 14 different strains. So basically, I don’t know the father of my children, but I can guess a few.

I started with 30 and these are the one that made it and I want to ensure they make it to harvest. The ones that didn’t make it - 6 didn’t sprout, 3 were sprouting late and I thought I could help them out and ended up messing with their ecosystem system and they expired, the remaining 4 that sprouted I touched them too much as seedlings (thinking I was helping them to do a little correcting) and they expired as well.

My tent is packed and I do have another smaller tent that I can move about three or four if needed as they get bigger. Some of my girls have or are recovering from the light being too close or too hot, a little over watering corrections, misting them when the light was on, and when I transferred them as seedlings to a larger pot. I used Happy Frog and Ocean Forest. Another lesson, I transferred some of them as seedlings using a half frog/ocean method and some of them didn’t like it the mix. At this point, I only watered them with 48 hour tap water. I do plan on getting a portable reverse osmosis system in a few weeks. I did add some molasses during two feedings. I water 16 ounces every two days on average. I do check for dryness and I’m assuming the 16 ounces are ok because I’m afraid to give them more and risk them drooping.

These are the ones in recovery. At least the three I think needed to rebound - one the lighting was too low, not sure what happened to the one with the wilted leaf that I topped today despite the leaf issue. My problem is touching them before figuring out the root cause of the issue. I think the other one is too green (not sure if it’s because of the soil mixing or the strain itself). I believe this strain is a Purple ??? Something.

Dude one recommendation and please take me serious.
Square away your electric before you get hurt.
first i saw the powerbank photo and i was like what is he talking about but the lamps with cables on top of them :S
at least lift them those lamps get too hot to touch

I have some USB’s on the floor(mainly in the center), I can move them. The rest are attached high. Should I separate them? I’m not sure what you mean by square away? Is it all the hanging strings? Also, I’m a female.😊

Attempting to take better picks. I have three power packs zipped tied.

Ok. Thanks I did zip tie the one in the middle. The rest were already zipped. Not sure if I can do anything else with all the strings from the lights.

Is it too messy,Currently I don’t have any issues with the floor, but I can make it better at the top. Any suggestions?

I think if I had one larger light and other equipment it could be a lot neater as well. Anyone with a 4*4*8, please share your setup.

I think the plants look decent overall! Maybe just have to work on your watering a little. Think about getting a little air circulation under the pots! Welcome!

Sorry 60 year old guy, not old enough yet to get away with social ineptitude.
Mylar is conductive
Plants need water.
Anything on the floor can be damaged or cause an problem. You have sensor wires on the floor. They run to the same controllers and if the controller shorts those wire will be problematic on the floor
The light cords from the lights that are UL listed have to be able to absorb any heat generated at the outside of the case. Any extensions or sensor wires need to be off of high heat generating items.
Genuine concern prompted my remarks. Depending on medium and nutes I may be able to help. I am experienced in HVAC and electronic control systems and like most everybody here will help.

Thank you all for the feedback. I am patiently waiting patiently waiting for my favorite brother who is an electrician to come over to help me improve on my electrical stuff. I did move two plants out that was in early veg to a smaller tent. Will get some fans to place on the bottom of the canopy as well. These are my nutes, that I gave them for the first time two days ago (the soil is FoxFarm)

Silica → Cal-Mag → Micro → Grow → Bloom
Stir thoroughly between each one.
pH water to 6.0-6.5 after everything's mixed.

I give them about 32 ounces of water. Should I be watering until slight runoff (~10-15%)? I’m freaking out about giving them more water. I’ve been watering them about every two or three days.

You should water to a slight runoff each time to make sure all of your medium is covered.

And take a few extra seconds to water them slowly so you see the water being sucked down into the soil and i pause and go to the next pot do the same then go back and finish off the watering on the first. Do you understand what i said? Lots of times very dry soil mixes the water just runs away and falls down the sides. Best of luck to you.
