Would it be safe to up pot now with them under the weather? I will change the perlite ratio.I thought they were larger! They should be drying out two days max! I thought you were in at least five! Kind of assuming you are up potting out of them? If you aren’t planning on up potting, you might wanna think about it!
I don’t know what to tell you! If you think they are suffocating because of the soil, then you have to do something! And you can’t put them into holes with the same soil mix in it! I have never used anything but the cheap small per light! Probably around 25 bucks for 4 ft.³! A huge bag! Worked fine for me! Landscape supply! Maybe Home Depot has it! There are still a lot of unanswered questions here! Weather, the soil moisture is causing the problem or something else! Then the holes themselves are gonna be questionable! I think you can kind of answer that by digging out a few of them and see what the soil down below looks like! You’re gonna have to dig them out anyway to add perlite! I don’t like holes! You give up access to the roots! So it can become another big guessing game as to what is going on down there! My ideal solution would be to score some 20 gallon tan grow bags and dig the soil out of the holes and put it in the bags with a bunch of perlite! At least on a few of them! Kind of depends on what the soil in the holes looks like! That’s what you get paid the big bucks for! To make these career, defining decisions!

The pots are what I had from previous grows. Gotta make do.I think you made the right choice! 50-50 might sound like a lot, but if the soil is that dense, then that’s what it takes! The stuff has got to breathe! We will see how the ones in the pot look after a few days and how fast they are drying back! But the plastic pots aren’t gonna do you any favors in that respect! But you should still get a good idea!

Take a few shovelfuls and pile them up on the ground and see how long it takes to dry! The stuff that is per lighted! That is the problem with holes! Unless you’re sure you have some well draining dirt to dig them in, the only way that moisture is going to escape is out the top! And that’s a pretty small opening to dry out that amount of wet soil! With fabric pots Every square inch of them, including the bottom lets moisture escape! Rinse off the 1 gallon fabric pot and throw some of that soil in there and see how long it takes to dry back. You should have a couple of them laying around by now!
I do of course have pots. I can pretty much tell from the consistency its still to sponge like. I will put some in a fabric pot and see. Im about to just scrap the whole grow. I will have to cut WAYYYYY back on smoking to try to make what I have last. I never would have imagined this happening.
Well, don’t throw in the towel yet! Maybe the shit will dry out faster than you think!
