In my 3rd week of flowering, I noticed my PH was dropping significantly after res swaps in my DWC system.
Using Athena pro line (Balance, Grow/Bloom, Core, Cleanse) and RO water. I was following their feeding schedule all throughout veg which called for 3.0 EC. Thought it seemed a little high compared to the EC I saw most people running, but had no issues at all in veg with their regimen, and PH was super steady. Was consistently coming in around these ranges on every mix:
5.8-5.9 PH
2.4-2.5 EC
1200-1300 PPM
Got a little complacent with he PH being so steady. Flipped to flower at the beginning of this month, and got lax on testing every day since my PH was going so steady and was only testing my mixes as I made them. Tested the res one day before swapping the mix and the PH was down to 5.3 from 5.9, and EC and PPM had climbed a bit.
Put in a new res mix, still at 100% strength (wasn't sure what the issue was at this point). Next evening my PH was back at 5.3, and EC had climbed to 2.9, and ppm to 1500-1600, but water was falling.
Tried a 75% strength mix that night. Next morning - PH was down again to 5.3 and PPM/EC had crept up again (though not as much as before)
So last night, I try lowering the EC again, this time to a 60% mix.
Went in last night around 6PM at
5.88 PH
1630 EC
815 PPM
This morning, my PH was back down AGAIN, this time even more to 5.17. EC crept up to 1830, and PPM stayed the same.
At a bit of a loss here - I was certain it was a nutrient issue, but if it was, wouldn't have lowering the EC at least tempered the PH swing a bit, even if I hadn't yet lowered the EC enough? Was considering doing a flush tonight with just RO + cleanse, then doing a 40% nutrient mix tomorrow, but just unsure in general right now if I'm even on the right track.
No unpleasent smells and roots still seem fine.
Plant is still looking okay but want to get this taken care of before it gets out of hand
