So as many of you know, I have been a scrogger for several years now. This time I want to grow a couple in the normal fashion.

When I scrog, defoliation is easy I just remove everything below the screen

But I am not sure when or what to remove when growing a normal plant. I am on day 7 of flower and on day 1 I pulled a few fan leaves blocking tops. I can't get a good picture of it because this Earthbox is wedged in pretty tight between my scrog and the closet wall.

AI answer is kind of vague and its fed me disinformation and bro science before. I would appreciate defoliating tips from real growers.

Ahh i see half the box is scrog i could'nt figure that out. Well i remove any small branches and i would of LST it. You still can with the front and middle i think if you feel OK with that?

The plants are both healthy and lush so they can manage quite a bit of defol stress. I'm just not sure when to defoliate. I have taken a few fan leaves to promote lowers and have been LSTing these things for a couple months. They are both cuttings from the last Querkle I grew. They vegged for 2 month in a seedling/clone tent but started growing into the light, so I had to move them into my 3x3. Only problem was I still had a 2 plant scrog with 3 weeks left of flower in that tent. I made room by unzipping one side of my tent and tacking it to the 4x4 closet door.

Like I said, this is the first plant I haven't scrogged in years, other than the mother this came off of I just flowered from seed in a 3-4 gallon pot.
