Weather has been a lot better lately, cloudy with a couple sprinkles even the last couple days. I'm really looking forward to it cooling down a bit more, have an ambitious Fall project to build a PVC green house over our raised beds. I've spent a lot of time on concept and design and I think it's looking good. I have all the tubing and pieces that I need according to my drawing so I'm set to go on this thing.

That is TBD, there's quite a variety of covering options available on amazon and probably at the local nursery, I'll look to my wife for some input on that. I should divulge that these two raised beds are for our veggies/melons/peppers. Tomatoes will be in there but in bags in the center and/or on the side since they can get tall and take up a lot of space.

A greenhouse built from PVC is not innovative but where it veers away from anything else I saw online is my idea for keeping it grounded. I bought some 16" rebar stakes that I'll pound halfway into the ground, 1/2" PVC tubes over those and then 1" PVC over those and for the actual structure. I'll goop up all the PVC closest to ground with clear silicon and with 12 points of contact I have a pretty good feeling the thing won't blow away.

My biggest concern right now is that I'm thinking I may want longer rebar stakes and, in fact, I just ordered some that are 24" from Vevor. That probably puts me up to about rev. F on this project!

If it works out I'll have really done it on the cheap without needing concrete footings that are permanent. I'll update as I go along and perhaps have my wife help me video the process.

Long way from in the jar as you found out the other night! Lol! Glad to see it didn’t do too much damage! That is one flexible Panama red if I’m not mistaken!😍 and a lot of this stuff is headed for the screens! If it gets there! So trimming on that will be minimal!

Unfortunately, it’s still illegal around here! So I can’t spread them out without getting them out in the open! They’ve outgrown their allotted space, dammit!😁🐒 was planning on a nice tidy, troublefree, little grow like last year! Then these fuckers went apeshit on me!🍻

If you’re talking about giving them a shower while they are growing, no I used to! Unless I find thrips or aphids. Then I will blast them! I got the idea I was making it more inviting for critters when I was giving them Regular showers! So no showers for the last two years! Never have bud washed! They will get rained on a few times before the end! Have to shove my way through them and when I sat down to have a smoke yesterday, there was an aphid on my shirt! Lol! Probably go out tonight with UV and take a look See if I can find anything! Haven’t seen anything on the plants!
