Right, I'm back after far too long away, what's that all about?! I'm gonna blame the wife being away with work and the kids knackering me...lol! And definitely not the far too late night video game shenanigans during the same period (that Arc Raiders is gonna be amazing btw). Anyway, here an update or two. Some good, some bad.

So the very late mystery seed (but let's just call it NL at this point) photo outside is coming along beautifully, just starting to flower and stack now. I had to bring her in for the storm last week but fingers crossed we get there. No caterpillars this time so far although have seen a few nibbled leaves here and there but nothing like the earlier grow. Been using Cpt Jacks weekly and I stuck a mint plant next to her as well as apparently are good at keeping the critters (moths?) away or so I read somewhere. Seems to be working so long may it continue.

p.s. I think I've really found my sweet spot for topping with photos. I top twice and then spread out with LST clips, seems to make a really nice shaped canopy and plant. 😊

And then there is the indoor autos. Deary me it's been a struggle! 🙄

Was planning on 4 but had to restart all of them twice for various frustrating reasons and on the third go around only 3 sprouted. And seeing as I have a hard deadline mid-Dec I just couldn't wait any longer for that one. Meaning we now have Blappleberry, 1:Walt and Vanilla Fizz. The OG Kush will have to be another day sadly.

They've been really fussy in the initial phases (I have my suspicions why) and just a real struggle to get happy. But here they are with the autopots just switched on 48hrs ago and starting to move finally. This is day 25 and I feel they should be so much larger. Aah well, as ever it's all a good learning process for next time.

But in other news I have definitely been considering a second, smaller tent (3x3?) in the garage next to the big one as I'd love to have both photos and autos going at the same time (and not just photos in the outdoor season). I'm currently measuring up and seeing what's possible. 🤔

The mystery seed is nearly there and we have rain coming in tonight for a few days so she is coming inside. Incredible colours, I'm leaning back to it being Blueberry and not NL now but tbh, who knows?

And here are the autos, I think I've managed to save them and they are thriving now. I have no qualms admitting I'm a bit ashamed about what I did to them. They were not happy at all.

I've absolutely put them through the mill with stunting, pushing them too soon and too fast early on so nute burn etc, the lot really. Instead of ramping up the feeding I jumped straight in with my excitement early doors. Stupid bugger. I also blame the AI I used to help, useless bloody thing (chatgpt if anyone cares). I thought would be an interesting experiment but I shall not be using them next grow as much. Will just be calcs needed thanks, dumb f@cker (the AI, not me...lol!) And also had quite a few seedling issues which I have suspicions about. You live and learn! 🫣🤭🤓

No way they are being done before away for Xmas so will have to call in some favours to get them through to the new year. But, I have them back in a good window finally. Should have been so much more (and bigger) but have had some good lessons on how to react to plant issues in the future that's for sure! 🤭

Good lord, has it been that long since I updated this thread...eek?! Was away for nearly a month over the holidays so I'm using that as my excuse.

Firstly , a very, very Happy New Year to all my fellow growers and friends on here, here's to an abundant 2026!

Anyway, the autos have all been finished and are now curing away. The Vanilla Fizz was harvested today and now drying, was definitely a bit on the late side but couldn't do any earlier due to the travel. Got over 1/4lb (5.5oz) from the Blappleberry and just under for the 1:Walt (3.95oz). So cant really complain about that after I f@cked them up so badly at the start! 😆

I have just set off my next run but this time my first ever indoor...photoperiods...dun, dun...derrrrr! Very excited about this tbh and have chosen the following candidates:.

I was going to run the NL seeds @TheGoldenRoad kindly shared but as regs I think I best get my first (indoor) photoperiod run under my belt before ruining all the others I'm growing with some male plants making an appearance! They will be run soon enough though!

Trying something a little different by starting them in coco coins as will be autopots again (in coco/perlite) but had been starting previous ones in starter soil. Anyway, means feeding immediately when first proper leaves appear and hopefully less transplant shock.

Meant to say I will also be tapping you all up for advice regards the photos as I make a right pigs ear of it all...hopefully not...lol!

I am also still seriously considering that second tent. Did some measuring pre-holidays and I think it's a goer. Need to work out exactly what I need equipment wise now though as been new additions here and there so have plenty I can use in new tent bar a few pieces.
