Hey all I have this very cool looking plant. I have never in my 52 yrs of growing (yes I stumbled on my older brothers patch at 8 yrs old) seen this the main stem is flat and almost 2 1/2 in wide. I’m going to let it grow but would love to keep studying it. Has anyone seen this before.

Whorled phylotaxy and very undesirably since the leaf and stems multiplication really kills the bud for smoking.

But yer you got some bad stress there, it's affected the apical dominance of the branch causing it to grow sideways it upwards and a loss of dominance.

Had this years ago from stress, thought it was cool till I dried the bud and realised bad.

Flat stem.2 buds fuze together looks amazing but its all wood inside.

I believe it is a hormone called auxin which creates the condition.

7 days later and this thing is sticky as any plant I’ve grown. There’s only the main stem that’s mutated. I gave my Caterpillar lol a hair cut and this thing is cool. This was a strain that I joked about crossbreeding. Green crack and Acapulco Gold. And this is the result.. I’m gonna call it green gold. Come and help promote a new Strain.. lmao !!!

That stem is thick as fuck! She's ready for some serious wind, honestly very cool stuff. 🤣

It's when you stress her that much she loses her apical dominance and hormones.

Really bad actually undesirable and you ruin the bud with stem and twigs.

Find the stress and change it, whorled phylotaxy at its worst.
