Are they ready for the light to be turned to 400 watt

How do u think these look
Since planted they've been on 250 watts when would you suggest I turn them up to 400 watt

Why would you want to? Do you think it would make them grow faster? They are doing just fine at the 250watts and are they even 30days old? But if you still need to test them against your light for the experience and learning give it a go.

I think it's because I've been listening to the wrong people lol
I've heard a few tell me to keep them on 250 as they're growing fine. Because they didn't have the best start up I took a week off the plants but I recon they're only 3weeks old max. Silly me decided to add the seeds to the pot with no nutrients for 2 weeks 🤣luckily I saved them.
But I'm so new I don't know about pruning and training FFS

Wattage isn't what you want to focus on. Wattage is a separate consumable we use to get what we want, which is PPFD. Specific levels of it hitting our Plants. It does require wattage to get your PPFD, but it is a PPFD value you are looking for, not a specific wattage. You can get the necessary PPFD you need for your plants by lowering the light without increasing wattage in certain instances.

Your light should have some charts that the manufacturer provides that tells you how much PPFD the light will put out at varying distances, and you will use that to set the height of your light based on the age of your plant: Remember 2-4-6-8 as a general guideline....

200 for seedlings
400 for young plants
600-800 for mature and flowering plants

Dide really wants to use 400watts doesnt accwpt he cañ just get the lamp closer.o fuck ir use 400watt if it makes you happy. You had this topic allready didnt you?

Yeah they have been growing a lot better in the 400 watt so glad I upped the watts tbh
And I'm looking into lst and topping now

I can lower them to the top and the bottom of the tent. I have them like 26 inches from canopy
But I didn't want to lower only because when watering them I'd be bashing my head and back off the lights lol

Looks good. The ruffled look could just be a higher than ideal fan setting and I wouldn't get hung up over it.

You can try adding things under your plants to raise them up : ) i like doing this as apposed to moving the lights. Also be careful with the manufacturer guidelines on the lights. I’ve followed them and had to move them back off. I have a 1000w Phlizon over my just flipped plants only on 10% (just clicked on) like 36” away. Won’t turn it up for another little, and probably will never reach 70% on that bad boy.

Do you have the photon app? It’s not perfect but can help you figure things out and set some parameters in your tent as a standard.

It's luck you know what your doing lol
The lights can be so confusing I started my first grow last month and learnt so much off you guys
Luckily my plants have took to my lights lol
I would be so grateful if you could advise me on what to do now I've topped them
I've topped all my plants except one
Shall I wait untill I start lst as the little leaves below are getting enough light ATM

yeah for sure! i have had two different plants under the same lights really not liking the same things! its annoying LOL!

id just give them a day or two to recover : ) is it an auto or photo? its a photo i say do whatever you want to it and learn and all : ) if its auto ill digress to the auto growers 🤣

awesome dude! photos will help you get things figured out. take some breaths and step back a minute : ) time is on your side for once lol! give it a day to recover and then get in there and start looking at what branches you want to pull around. sometimes letting them grow a week is what they need to get a branch where you want it. just make sure you know why you are cutting or folding (I’ve been out in the shed just Willy nilly and the next day really questioning my life decisions)🤣

Well at the moment I'm leaving them for 24 hours or might even do a week of leaving them be
Then when the fan leaves are longer I can position them easier. Just wish I had more seeds now
Any seed bank suggestions I'm all ears lol

I cant recommend off of personal experience but i know there are a few members here who are certified vendors on the site. And there are a few websites out there that folks here have used. I’d ask around though : )
