What's happnin party people?!?!? It's been a minute since I've posted, but I've been here reading and learning!

I just had what I would consider my first "successful" grow with a single Deathstar clone in a 10gal bag in my 3x3 and that is curing/has been jarred now for 1 week, and it smells freaking incredible! That plant went to day 74 of flower and as soon as I cut her down, I wished that I had let it go for another couple of days.... I want to avoid that feeling when I harvest my current run.

I have 4 clones of the same Humboldt BBM in 7 gallon fabric bags, (Promix HP & Gaia Green) in my Mars 39"x39" tent under a Spiderfarmer SE5000 light. I have everything running through the AC Infinity AI+ controller (but I am running it in manual mode because....well.....I'm fucking stubborn.)

I am feeding Gaia Green amendments with worm castings, gypsum, epsom, recharge, azomite and Sea-k - basically following "Shaded's Method" that I found on this site.

Veg was easy and I can say that filling a tent with clones of the same mother is freaking awesome. Same routine for each pot and it was a pretty smooth run overall. Veg started with the SE5000 at 30% and they kind of just filled out the tent with the light at the top of the tent and they grew into it. I didn't turn up the light to 40% until the light change... I did burn some fan leaves with the light when I bumped it to 70%. Temps maxed at 86 and VPD was spot on, but I guess that was a little too much. They went through flower maxed out at 60%. I guess that is still 300W in a 3x3 tent. The buds are way fatter and frostier this run and I attribute that to the lack of stress and deficiencies/toxicities that the first run had....lesson learned!

I will say that one change that I made probably had the biggest impact to the success (Hey, I'm calling it a success so far!) of this run, and that was switching the light schedule to be lights off during the day and lights on during the night. This made a HUGE impact in the stability of both temp & humidity (VPD) and my ability to control them. Since I am in an enclosed room with an exterior window, I've been able to get the "lights out" temps down into the low 60's and the lights on temps are topping out at 74 - 75 degrees here at the end of the run. The girls are starting to show a little bit of purple! The other big benefit of the lights being off during the day is that it keeps me from being in the room messing with them!

As mentioned earlier, today is day two of week 9 (day 58 since light change) and I think they are just about done, but I don't want to take them too early. They seem healthy enough to run for anther couple of weeks if needed, but I want to do everything that I can do to get the harvest date right.

Here are some pics from just before the lights came on tonight.

And here are a couple of pictures from tonight just after the lights turned on. I have the light running at 50% tonight to keep temps in the tent cool. As I type this its at 71 degrees and 47% humidity.

To my eye, I think I am seeing mostly cloudy with some still clear, but I am seeing amber popping up too. The buds are still throwing out new white hairs sporadically, but the majority have turned red and retracted. I am thinking it could be taken now, but would I benefit from giving it a couple more days? The buds might still be swelling a little, but with the purple starting to show I don't want to miss out on something by chopping too soon.

So what say you, are these girls ready to cut down or do I wait another couple of days....as week....more?

Thank you for taking a look at this journey and for adding any advice that you can offer on what I should do next!

You're in the zone dude, it's dealers choice. If you want a clearer heady high, chop now. If you like more of body high then let her ride for a week. Personally, they look perfectly cooked enough for me.

Nice Job.

Thanks guys, and Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

The plants are lights out now until 9:00 PM this evening. I will use the microscope again tonight and check to see if there is any change. I will get everything prepared to switch the tent to "dry mode" today so I can just chop them whenever I see a few more ambers popping up.

Thank you!

Well, today is day 60 of flower and lights went out at 9:00 this morning on the BBM's and I am thinking that will be the last light they see... The lights are scheduled to come on tonight at 9:00, but I think I am going to shut them down and given them until tomorrow morning and then chop.

Here are some updated plant and trichome pics from just before the lights went out. I am seeing most of them being cloudy now and I think they are ready. If you think otherwise, please let me know!

I think that part of what is throwing me with this grow is that the plants are still alive at the end of flower....I'm not used to that!

Thanks for taking a look and any advice

The lights went out forever for my four BBM plants...

Due to a busy weekend, they ended up getting 36 hours of dark and then I chopped them down Sunday evening. They are currently hanging in the tent and I will being doing my best to stay as close to the 60/60 target for a nice long cure. Unfortunately our humidity is in the 30's in the house right now so I have the little ACI humidifier in the tent now to kick on if the humidity gets below 56%. Current temp in the dry tent is 66.8 degrees.

Here are the final pics. Now I just need to NOT fumble the ball at the goal line and get this dry and cure nailed!

I have the ACI oscillating fan running on a cycle now at 1 minute on and 3 minutes off. It is blowing above the hanging plants at level 2. With as many leaves as i left on for the dry, I want to make sure that at least for the first couple of days that I that least have some intermittent airflow.

I will say that it was strange for me to see "generally healthy" looking plants hanging upside down....my first two grows looked a little rough at the end!

I can also state that just based on how these plants (4 clones) look that I think I will probably come close to doubling the yield that I had on the first run with the seeds. We will know here in about 10 days or so and I'll report back to document the yield and my thoughts on the strain.

Until then, here are the final pictures for my BBM grow!

Excellent job Smoke! Nailed it!😍✌️

Dude I LOVE Gaia green! Everything about it! : )

I am really liking the Gaia as well as the Promix and I am using it for my next run as well! I just planted 4 Humboldt "Apple Blossom" seeds a week ago and 3 of the 4 seeds popped, but the one that didn't is my fault... (I had a little mishap...) Bear, your grow is looking awesome, brother!!!
