Your talking like f1 is somezhibg special its literally first step in the breeding totally unstable you can get 4 phenos.and maybe some fresh vigor but...
You must do meth. You talk jumbled and your punctuation and grammar are hideous. Very unbecoming of an individual expressing an opinion, actually, the dumbest thing I've heard. F1 is unstable? Are you fucking serious?
Hang it up dude. You need to enter a spelling b not a grow chat

Frfr. I'm on my second grow in a new spot from there Genetics. My brother has 10 RQS trees going in his..
I've never had any issue with them..
And certainly not with any plants .
They pump fire outta that bank. That's why all the other banks sell RQS lol
Dude, Haze is correct. As a breeder of over a dozen years I can attest F1's are a crap shoot. You'll get some that lean toward one parent or the other and some are a little different but the vigor of outcrossing is usually great.

I've been working on a purple pheno of Granddaddy Purple
20221206 163652
Granddaddy purple the purple pheno 3

for about 7 years and I'm on s7's
20251020 093359

and while not the full color I want the cold plays a part.

I believe yall are talking about two different types of f1s. There is the standard f1s that are just 1st generation crosses but the f1s RQS is hyping is a breeding technique that's supposed to give almost identical plants from seed. Something about inbreeding two strains to death then crossing the two or something like that, they talk about on their site. Grew a few of their f1s when they first came out and wasn't all that impressed. But back then around 3 years ago all they offered was autos and I really don't do autos inside anymore . Haven't tried them lately.

Then it's not an F1. An F1 is 2 different strains pairing. I'm on S7 (s1 x s1 then s2 x s2 etc from the original seeds I recieved from another breeder of his s1's which technically makes mine s8's but that past 7 generations were obviously phenos of my choosing.

I am working a GDP x Mother's Milk F1 that I'll be making S1's in the coming weeks.

Are these fem seeds? I havent a clue what they sell or even what's available from them these days as I've bought seeds once in the past decade+ and that was from a Michigan breeder. And while I do try and keep up with what's going on in the cannabis world there's way too many breeders and seed companies doing what they do😉

Check out their site, they go into detail about the process and hype them as the future of cannabis genetics. I'm not sold but we'll see.

On it's way to "heirloom" status 🤩

You know, something I've been noodling about lately is how purp sits in as a pinch hitter for green, and how that's going to affect a cure without having to purge a shit load of chlorophyll.

Now if I could just set the fking line... but at this point I really need to outcross with another GDP and start again. Too much inbreeding can/will cause defects. I've been studying genetics for 40+ years, both plant and animal and while we humans understand them there are always and always will be outliers. It seems to be a survival mode of most/all creatures😉

Yeah the way I understand it the best scenario for stable F1 is to work from heirlooms of different varieties. If you're just growing and you want good stable seeds where the profile is predictable, those F1's are great. But if you want to breed a line, you will probably want an F12 or something... A kind of seed you plant and you hear the dueling guitar and banjo from Deliverance playing off in the distance. Like those Amish communities where everybody looks alike. Because... they've become predictable, the offspring are going to be just like the parents. And then when you mix them, you've taken two stagnant genetic lines and put them together, the first generation of offspring wind up coming out just like one of the two parents.

Related to that survival mode thing... after those anthrax attacks in 2001 I happened to sit in on a lecture given by a microbiologist, and he described something he called the 5% guarantee. The way he explained it, the way the math ALWAYS works out, a naturally occurring pathogen will only ever be able to eliminate 95% of a species, because the genetic diversity guarantees 5% will always be unaffected. And there are moments in history where we humans fucked up, one example being bananas. Banana farming entails working with clones. There's no genetic diversity. So when Gros Michel bananas got hit with a nasty fusarium strain in the 1950's, it wiped bananas off the face of the planet and now we eat Cavendish bananas. Except now a new fusarium has popped up, so we might be eating a different kind of banana soon. This isn't nature. This is man screwing up nature. If farmers allowed bananas to have genetic diversity, then 5% of the banana crops would survive and their offspring would develop an immunity.

And I suppose a related moral to the story, this is why you don't always want to reach for the same pesticide every time.

Maybe you aren't in the know.
RQS F1s are considered the authority and authenticator of F1 crosses.
And no, you will never find more stable genetics than F1. You just don't know what a phenohunt looks like because your crying like a baby over your stuff.
You ain't been around long enough to know much about this
So it's cool.
I remember being a pissy kid too
dude if you cross anything with anything its an f1....
what does "RQS F1s are considered the authority and authenticator of F1 crosses." even mean?
do you remember being a pissy old man too?

any other seed bank does the same. they have their strains and over time they breed then with each other to get new strains to sell. its just marketing making something look a lot bigger than it is. its a simple breeding between two strains.at max they are just saying we will use 2 strains that dont have same family.

and for the pissy old man they are unstable as fuck as any other hybrid in the history of time.

Hello, recently I ordered from RQS some autos. The order was over 25$ so they gave me one free seed Sour Diesel. I received my order yesterday and everything came OK, but that free diesel is missing, package is OK but seed doesnt exist.

Has this ever happened to anyone?
they def will fix the issue

What Are F1 Cannabis Seeds?
If you thought all cannabis hybrids are created equal, think again. F1 hybrids are the future of cannabis genetics, offering unrivalled stability, vigour, and yields. Unlike regular hybrids, which can be created by crossing virtually any two cannabis plants, F1 hybrids are made by crossing two pure (also known as "inbred") genetic lines. The resulting seedlings not only grow bigger and stronger, but also maintain stable growth traits that result in a uniform crop.
While F1 seeds have long been common in the world of vegetable and ornamental gardening, they are completely new to cannabis. At RQS, we`re pioneering F1 hybrids by being the first to offer genuine F1 cannabis seeds, transforming cultivation at any scale.

Bla bla bla. It's stll an F1 but with more BS hype🤣

buddy I don't even know why I am typing this because that RQS fanboy above is gonna try to insult me but all of these seeds are trash white labels. do yourself a favor, buy real genetics from real breeders not these white label companies trying to sell you cut only strains. This is the only website you need https://bodhiseeds.love/ has links to all the licensed seed banks that carry his genetics. Save your money and buy real genetics, don't fall prey to these white label seed companies and don't listen to growers that have to insult people to try and get their points across because 90% of those clowns have no clue wtf they're doing

THIS!

I don't care who you are but you need Bodhi's seeds. Da BOMB! I have his Blueberry Hash Plant goinin on 5 years clone only and his Mother's Milk which I had 3 packs of seeds and just this year started crossing them with my GDP and horry sheet are these crosses something else. I plan on crossing them both with Gelato this coming year.

I'm currently smoking mainly GDP x BBHP that I LOVE even though I expected the grapes and berries would be dominate instead I got a throwback to their indica roots, no fruit flavor at all BUT it rocks my fking WORLD and the GDP x Mother's Milk cross that I'm going to be breeding S1's in the coming weeks are beasts.

Before those 2 the closest I've come was a clone of GG4 and a Brutus OG x Chem Dawg a cross I worked from 2016-2021.

Do yourself a favor and get you some Bodhi seeds. You'll never regret it😘

This makes me so happy to hear. I felt bad making a comment I try to steer clear of drama these days but it drives me crazy seeing people hype crappy genetics. I’m in a bodhi preservation group so if you ever want any f2s of any of his strains let me know and If I don’t have it I probably know someone that does. Here is a pic of my first cross I did with bodhi stuff it’s one of his lemon wookie v1 strain that was worked to f4 by my friend backyardboogie. I selected a gassy lavender oil pheno from the f4 stock and hit her with some pollen I had from an 88g13hp male. This is only day 35 first pic is the lavender pheno 2nd is the hashplant leaner
3rd picture is a special sour diesel project the mother was a headband cut and the father was the Appalachia strain from high and lonesome she smells like stale beer and kerosene

These were grown in solo cups. Last week I transplanted the 2 girls into 2 gal fi er pots. The boy will get one today or tomorrow. I grew 8, 6 boys and 2 girls. Kept the best male.

I can't promote Bodhi's creations enough😘
