Yeah I felt compelled to clarify that I was 100% sober when I saw what I saw. But oddly enough I don’t think that I have ever witnessed anything under the influence that I couldn’t explain. I left out my Bigfoot story though because I never made any attempt to clarify what I saw. But in the spirit of storytelling here goes.
I was visiting a friend who lives in the northern part of Concord NH , on a dead end rd with an electrical substation at the end. It was early March and snow was starting to melt. We took a walk down the street to the gate where the road dead ends at the substation. It’s not posted just closed to thru traffic. So we pass by the gate and are hiking up the road. There’s a pond a little ways in and she wanted to go see if the ice had melted. So we hiked back about a half mile past the gate and can see the pond is still iced over. So we decided to turn around and head back to her house. On our way towards the gate we walked under a set of high tension lines. I had a clear line of sight that went at least 600-800 yards looking north. As I’m looking north, about 400 yards away I noticed what at first appeared to be a very large man wearing all black with a hood leave the wood line on the western edge of the powerline and cross the powerline heading east. I pointed out the person to my friend, but she has bad eyes and couldn’t make out what I was seeing. At that point something clicked on in my mind. Who ever this was had walked out of the woods with some overhead branches that extended across the mid point of the clearing. They were somewhat crouched down as to not hit their head on the overhanging branches. Something was off, most of the trees in the woodline had been pruned by whitetail deer between 5-6 feet high, yet these branches appeared to be another 3 feet higher than the pruned trees. Putting the branches at somewhere around 8 feet high from the ground. I then asked my friend if there was anyone in the neighborhood who was exceptionally tall, like over seven feet tall. She laughed and said no. At that point I came to the conclusion that we probably weren’t looking at a person and I suggested that we should go look for foot prints. Well that idea was quickly shot down by my friend who all of a sudden got the creeps. Again she couldn’t even see far enough to make out what I had seen, but was picking up what I was putting down, and wanted no part in a backyard Bigfoot expedition. We went back to her house and that was that. I ended up returning to the area that fall during hunting season and confirmed that the area with the overhanging trees was at least eight feet from the ground. No I didn’t see Sasquatch, but what I did see was evidence of a lot of different hunters in the area. Treestands, game cameras, and trail markers all over the place. So do I think that I saw a Bigfoot?? Perhaps, does it live in that area?? Definitely not, if anything this sighting would support the theory that Bigfoot is highly migratory, and if so would probably avoid areas that hunters frequent during hunting season, but March is a long ways off from hunting season so who knows what I saw.
