All this talk of spring and growing has me excitied so I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered them. And thanks to @Oldchucky another time for pointing out they take Paypal...asking for forgiveness from the household comptroller is easier than asking for permission.

If you're not to far from Jackson, MI, go to the Seed Cellar. Store in the corner of a small shopping center. Walk in and walk out with your beans. Real nice ladies work there and they have all kinds of stuff there. Heirlooms seeds and all kinds of mushroom stuff. I was there a couple weeks ago and walked out with some free Barneys Farm Skywalker auto sample seeds and a free T-shirt.
I love the seed cellar. Roger is a stand up guy.

How? Unless you're rounding up. I'm at 33 lat and I'm just at 11.75 but I brought em out mid March last year which as @Oldchucky said, "no no". So other than autos, and veggies they have to wait a bit.
Your right...it was a quick calculation in my head.

I'll take um outside during the day, but under a light indoors during the evening to maintain a 16/8.

In reality we only see a maximum of 15 hs 9 min of daylight outdoors Mid June., then we start loosing time.

So is 16/8 right, or 15/9 ? When raising photo seedlings.
Guessing it depends on how anal you are.

Yeah, you got it down hoss! I would consider 15 nine a minimum, but I give them more! The more hours of light, the faster they will grow! Then you can adjust and fine-tune the hours a week or two before you put them out permanently! When it gets warm enough to where , you’re comfortable with it. A little over 15 hours is the longest day here also! I’ve never really bothered to try and match the outdoor hours before they go out. I just make sure that they don’t start popping little balls and little flowers in early June! I start them on my bedroom floor so if I go to bed late, they might get 20 hours or if I pass out on the couch they might get 24 hours! As long as they get there 15!😁🐒

I think @GNick55 posted that he matches the daylight before taking them outdoors but I don't remember when he starts that.
I'm cutting mine 10mins. each day until I go from 18hrs. to 16 and keeping it there.

That's my only concern is them being close to natural sunrise sunset before going outside permanently.

Wouldn't surprise me if it doesn't become part of a controlled lighting system for indoor grows.

Lights mounted to a trac system calculated with the sun's angle and color waves, moving across the plants from one side to the other matching the seasons. 😆🤡

Damn... should've kept my mouth shut. I just gave away another patent.🤣🤣

The reality is that there's only 14 1/2 hrs of daylight on May 15-16 😆

The only difference I have had with starting them early is reveg

Mine plants produced the same amount the ones I started early mostly all reveged
I learned the hard way won’t start anything till may now for outdoor 🫶🏻🪴good luck y’all

So u won't pop a bean before May.? I guess it'd keep their size down some.

I shoot for 2nd to 3rd week of March for popping beans. That gives um 5-6 weeks before going outside. I'm trying some regs this year, so they were started earlier, so I can sex them out quicker, and get um in final pots.

And he had one that reveged in spite of that! It wasn’t a total loss, but it cost him! Anytime you try and pull the wool over mother nature‘s eyes and put them out early You are rolling the dice! You might make it and you might not!

💚 Makes sense and check and you and @Bigalmoby check your message boxes when you have time.
