Good day to you all. This is my first post and hopefully many more. I am just an average old man trying to grow his own medicine and finding therapy in the process. I have grown many times before but have been hit or miss during harvest. I have always started my countdown on flip day, but have read that flower truly doesn’t start until 1 to 2 weeks after flip. So based on that information I feel like I am closer to dialing it in. I’ve always used a jewelers loop but now have got a digital magnifier, which has blown my mind. Anybody willing to share any insight or opinions on whether you would harvest based on these photos? I felt like they were ready a week ago, but I’ve also read that once you think they’re ready, to give it another week or two. It’s been 10 days since that initial assessment. Thank you in advance. Happy growing.

I see a fair bit is still clear.
There’s also a good amount of milky however no amber.

Some will harvest before they go amber most see that as to early however that is a preference.

It takes time to find yours.

some will aim for 10-25% amber
Some will go on one about the thc THC is decaying once it’s gone Amber and aim for milky no amber.

A non amber plant will give you a speedy high.
A lot of amber will give you a couch lock

There’s also a good balance of both to take into consideration when choosing your preferred high.

IMO I’d leave it about 10-14 days minimum & wait to see less clear, more milky & some amber however I like a balanced high not one that sends me to sleep after a joint nor one that makes me rush around when I’m looking to relax however as said that’s my preference

even if you don’t want a couch lock & do want a speedy high I’d leave it a while harvested to early & you get a grassy taste as the turps haven’t matured enough.

It’s hard to go over bud tbh.

Well that’s my input at least

Enjoy bud your first you’ll honestly never forget 👍

Edit btw focus on the buds not what we call the suger leaves ( small ones covered in trichs ) as the leaves trichs turn earlier that the trichs on the actual bud does.

LOL, well that’s my essay written for the day 🤣

Id let it ride until you see amber the percentage is up to you ✌️

Id say let them go a week maybe 2 weeks. Looks like the bit of amber you have is on the sugar leaves. Good sign the plant will be done usually within a couple weeks. Id still check daily. Happy Growing.
