This is my first try at auto so I'm going to be a PIA and ask if this is looks OK for the 3rd week of flower. I started counting the first day of flowering when I saw the first white pistils. I would not know when else the first day might be??
Thanks

Not to sound rude, but it looks filthy. Dead leaf matter, dirt all over, empty pop can, it's a breeding ground for all things bad. Spend 20 minutes and clean the environment. You've got decaying leaves in your soil bed, on the floor, everywhere! And I might be mistaken, but that almost looks like white mold on the bottom right leaf edges, although it could just be a lighting artifact in the picture, not sure. But considering the state of the environment, I'd take a closer look at it if I were you.

Again, I don't mean to sound rude, just giving you my honest opinion.

Trust me. There is no mold. I feel like all the talk about surgical cleanliness is hype. We humanized EVERYTHING! We call plants "girls" etc and are constantly assuming everything need to be kept the way we humans keep ourselves. I'm also a long time beekeeper and I see this same humanization in the beekeeping industry. Do outdoor growers worry about dead/decaying leaves?
I feel like the litter make the plant feel at home. See! I can also play the humanized game.
Not to be rude of course 😬.

Yeah don't mind that. As long the mess is not too much for you. Mold in your plant is only if the humidity gets too high, but a small fan can help.
If the leafs was a problem then what about all the people covering their soil with dead plant matter?

But also if someone once had mold in all their buds, that can make some extra scared of some fungus. Understandable.

I find your grow cozy and i think the plant looks right for the age.

If you think @Brother_Antioch was suggesting "surgical" cleanliness you are mistaken. Your defensive response is only going to make people less willing to help. This is like your 5th thread on these plants and it was said before; basic grow room hygiene can only help you in the long run. You don't want the kinds of critters that are attracted to decay around your plants. If you want "outdoor grower" problems then definitely keep doing what you're doing.

And the plants we grow are female, so yeah, we call them "girls".

I agree with your assesment

Thanks. And exactly my point. I don't need my kitchen to be as clean as a microbiology lab, but I'm not going to prepare dinner on top of a pile of dirty dishes! It's just common sense.

Cheers,

BA.

It wasn't a defensive response. It was a common sense response.
Injecting the comparison between a micro biology lab and a preparing food in a sink full of dirty dishes is desperate IMO.
I'm sure there are plenty of members who DON'T show their grows for fear of criticism from the pathogen police.
Anyway, my "girl" got 2 flu shots so she's feeling perfect. 😁

um...okay then! I'd suggest that the only thing "desperate" is your attempt to distract from the fact you can't clean your grow environment. As pointed out, repeatedly, you don't need a sterile environment, just a clean one. But, I guess cleanliness isn't a priority for you, and that's fine. No need to get snarky over an observation, though.

Bro, this is your opinion ok, and not everyone agrees you OR me. Don't try to pass your opinion(s) off as Gospel.

Okay then! I'm sure there's an "ignore" feature on this forum. Perhaps you should use it, and I'll do the same. I come here to discuss growing, not to get into an argument with someone who feels a dirty grow area is a good thing.

Have a nice day, Howard.
