I feel ya man, the struggle is real. Keep them in the refrigerator if you have hopes to actually growing them in the future. I doubt I'll ever get to most of what I have. I'm currently hunting Headbanger from KarmaGenetics. If you see that anywhere let me know.

Well here's a handy dandy write up concerning Nutrient Deficiencies... Every time I read a different article I pick up something new.

Just got the heads up that Heritage Seed Bank has the Team Death Star (Karma Genetics) Headbanger. 😎

Who is Team Death Star?

Team Death Star is a completely separate, legendary breeding collective from Ohio.

  • They are the original creators of the Death Star strain (Sour Diesel x Sensi Star).
  • While they are “legit” in their own right as breeders, they are not a seed bank or a distributor for other companies like Karma Genetics.
Summary: If you want seeds made by Karma Genetics, go to an official shop like Neptune or Pure Sativa. If you want a high-quality, Ohio-bred reproduction of the Headbanger line at a likely lower price point, Team Death Star is a reputable group to buy from.

No transplant shock this go around. We watered in a touch of Aloe Vera couple days ago. Apparently it helps.

How Aloe Vera Prevents Transplant Shock:
  • Root Stimulation: Aloe vera acts as a natural rooting hormone, accelerating new root growth when cuttings are dipped in it or when seedlings are watered with it.
  • Nutrient Boost & Protection: It contains over 75 active compounds, including vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that nourish stressed cannabis plants.
  • Healing Agent: Saponins and salicylic acid in aloe aid in protecting roots from diseases and promoting a strong immune system.
  • Wetting Agent (Surfactant): Aloe helps break down hydrophobic soil, ensuring the cannabis roots get immediate access to water and moisture.

Is there a product you are using? Or smooshed up aloe from the garden? : ) i like the idea of it as a surfactant in the peat medium im using.

The little one looks stoked! ✌️
Build A soil has a few Aloe Vera products (that you can mix before using) and I probably have some of it in the fridge, now that I think of it. I still have a jar of the Aloe Vera Fermented Plant Juice I made couple years ago. Think I shared the process of making that on this thread. You basically cut a few chunks of Aloe Vera plant (into one inch cubes) and add the same weight of brown sugar on top of it into a glass mason jar. Let that ferment for a couple weeks. The Aloe plant turns into liquid. I mixed 3/8 teaspoon into 32 ounces of water 1/1000 ratio before watering the AK47.

Thanks Bytch! 🤩 I’ll search it up. Thank you for the quick break down!

I picked up a fermenting book a while back. I’ll have to bust it out. ✌️

Look what I found.....I thought Starfighter was a dieing strain.
Don't think Alien Genetics makes that one anymore. What they have now are probably crossed work from the Starfighter. https://aliengenetics.org/seeds/

The Alien Tahoe OG is one I'd like to grow out some day, think Cali Connection breeds that one.

When your daughter asks you for help on a school project. The difference between no compost, dairy compost, and vermicompost...

giphy.gif
Can’t wait for the kids to be old enough to really get it! We just dig in the dirt and talk very simple terms for photosynthesis and that kind of stuff at this point.

I did a compost project in high school! 🤩 are you guys going to make some piles and do some experiments!? 😃

Man... It turns out I'm doing the project for her🤣 I at least had her drop the seeds. The project is to see how a plant responds to the three different scenarios. We, ehem, I choose Buckwheat for the plant. (She didn't let me use a white label seed, I tried!) 🤣 But we're using simple party cups for this. We're needing two cups of each for the experiment. I found out after sweating in the garage getting the three going, we'll get the next set done today. Interesting stuff, the Vermicompost soil pH is about 6.7, Dairy compost 7.1, and no compost 6.4. We're going with Happy Frog soil as the base. We both feel like the Vermicompost cups will do the best, so we'll see. She has to keep tabs of the soil moisture and soil pH throughout the grow. We have the party cups in the humidity done for now.

The project asked for homemade compost but not sure how we can make that available in time for this project to conclusion. That takes at least 6 months to produce (the homemade compost) so I made the executive decision to go with the Vermicompost.... Next best thing!

I see now! 🤣 hey it sounds like she is doing her part though! : ) very cool, and you guys get to hang out and talk plants and stuff!😍

AAANNNDDD you might even find something you like for your earthboxes! Ive always wanted to try the worms for the castings and juice : )

Yup, the worms are a great idea for your pots. If they're not trying to escape that means everything is gravy in the soil. I have the earthboxes in the backyard right now and plan on dropping some African Marigolds to hold them over till the fall. The Marigolds ward of fungus gnats and attract beneficial insects at the same time, the earthboxes should be good to go by the fall. Marigold seeds literally just got in the mail today.

And crap...ordered the wrong Marigolds 😒 needed the French variety...not African 🤣

I plant marigolds all over my veggie garden. They keep the bunnys and a lot of bugs away.

Chamomile?

Chamomile tea acts as a natural, anti-fungal soil treatment, specifically preventing "damping off" in seedlings and reducing mold in potting soil. Brewed, cooled tea can be sprayed onto soil or used for watering to treat fungal issues and strengthen plants, thanks to its natural tannins. It also helps soften hard seed coats for better germination.

Key Uses of Chamomile Tea for Soil:
  • Prevent Damping Off: Spray brewed, cooled tea on seedling soil daily to prevent fungal infections that cause rot at the stem and root level,
  • Seed germination Aid: Soak seeds in weak, cooled tea for 8-12 hours to help soften hard shells and improve germination rates for plants like beans, corn, and peas. Cannabis? 🤔

Trying to negotiate some American only available seeds to a dude in Holland (who doesn't know English) for a pack of legit Karma Genetics Headbanger right now. Only I don't have shit! 🤣 Might have to send him multiple packets for just the one. Fuk it. See if he agrees. 🤞
