So I just germinated seeds for the first time in idk 3 years or so? I stopped growing (actually let my seedlings die 😭) a few years ago when I became pregnant. It was just to much. The. I had a baby to deal with... Then I got pregnant again...πŸ˜‘... So now here I am 2 year old and 6 month old (and 9 year old) starting back up...
I do coco.
I need a quick refresher... I went to the hydro store the other day and got general hydros flora trio, and ph up and down... And forgot to buy coco coir...🀣
I also got hygrozyme when I got home and was looking thru my old nutes I realized I actually wanted hydrogaurd. I know nothing about hygrozyme. Can I use them together?
I also need to know did I forget anything else (besides the coco πŸ˜‚)? I know I need cal mag I forgot that too.
Also are my old nutrients still any good? They are in my basement
I just got to set everything back up start mixing nutes and get my babies into fabric pots and we will be on our newest journey. I will say they may get a little less attention then my previous plants but hopefully checking once a day and maintenance a couple times a week will be sufficient. I might put in a camera. Would LOVE a smart system but... Human babies ... 🀣

Anyway thanks for your reminders and input!

Back to a bit of me time wherever possible, right? I found autopot to be amazing if you dont have too much time. Maybe refill once a week but the system does all the work and it's very affordable.

As long as you got calmag and your base nutes you're fine. During hand fertigation i like to add silica and seaweed when using coco coir until the reservoir turns on. Then back to just calmag and base nutes (and the smallest amount of pk13/14 mid flower).

You should smell the old bottles. If it burns your nose, smells very funky or smells very salty I'd throw em away. Or test them on less important plants.

I'm guessing the self watering fabric pot base I see on Amazon are not sufficient for bud right? I'm gonna have to redo my whole irrigation system I forgot I threw away all the tubing. Probably for the best tho I would have had to wash it all anyway.
The guy at the store said if they crystalize is when they are no good and the ones I looked at where still ok. I had a pretty good collection of additives going that would cost a fortune to replace so if they are no good I'll be running base which feels weird lol. But I have always been my biggest critic. Nothing I grew was ever good enough to me even tho I had people asking me for what I grew not what I bought lol. Funny thing is... I don't really smoke. Lol or eat edibles or nothing anymore I just like growing it.
I like the sacrificial plant idea except I tend to kill normal plants anyway πŸ˜‚ Lol. If it's "easy to grow" I'll probably kill it...
So far my me time.has pretty much been when I got to work 3 days a week... Even my other hobbies I have been doing between childcare activities or with baby in tow lol. I work at Michaels so I do a few crafts lol. Mostly making stuff for my kids! Lol

If you mean the base with a wicking system, i couldnt tell you. Never tried those. In an autopot the valve on the tray regulates the waterlevel so it can fill itself from a reservoir. A loose base for houseplants usually comes with a glass tube that tells you its time to fill, so that's the trade-off.

And hey, we've all killed a cactus or two when we started ;p
