Week4Bytch ..The Cannabis Karen

I tried to make the aloe thing you talked about. All sugar is dissolved and the syrup is clear. After the sugar dissolved it's like nothing more is happening. I doesn't smell bad. Not bobbling. I got it in a closed jar in room temp. I forgot when i made it...

I got it in a closed jar in room temp. I forgot when i made it but i think it's like 3 weeks ago or so.
Does it sound ok?

It was hard to get a picture but here's the best

Did you use unsulfured black strap molasses? Should be brown. Still might be good, not sure to be honest. I have my jar from almost two years ago. Gonna check the date on that right now, and yes made my batch February 2024 and it's still good.

EDIT:
Do NOT USE UNSULFURED BLACK STRAP MOLASSES... MY MISTAKE. BROWN SUGAR IS CORRECT.

No i didn't.
I didn't catch that it should be black strap molasses., i thought it was brown sugar you meant, but the closest i could get was sugar cane sugar and that is light brown.
Well i'm gonna try if it's any good anyway.
I was just wondering if it would bobble or have some process before it was ready.

I can also try buying black strap molasses and try again.

Oh .. shit my bad... No yes, brown sugar is correct!! Sorry, scratch what I said before!!

Sorry, I edited that real quick, so you need to use equal amounts of brown sugar (by weight) to tha aloe vera plant. You'd weigh the aloe vera plant and then cover it in the jar with equal amount of brown sugar by weight. Hope that make sense. I think I covered the top of the jar with coffee filter (held by rubber band) to let it breathe as it fermented. It's been two years since Ive played with Korean Natural Farming stuff. I need to get back to this here soon.

One of the beans popped.. we'll take it.

Outside this early? You gotta be down south. I live near Lake Erie and it got down to 37 last night. I don't dare plant anything cold sesative until June.
We’re getting a winter storm right now! 😆 now snow thank god but rain and wind.

Outdoor one year got a whole garden in by 1st of may. Thunderstorm came through and Swiss cheesed the whole damn thing!😳🤣 they made it, it was just kind of a bummer to start the season with that happening.

I'm totally opposite.. it's currently 86 degrees farenheit outside right now. Coachella California

Thank you. I've loosened the lid now.

Another thing. Just a follow up.
After our talk about matchsticks i decided to investigate if sulfur really was what kept gnats away.
So after some internet search i found some solfur i could buy. Normally i need a licence, but i guess no one checked or maybe the squad will show up in some days.
Anyway. Then i would try to mimic the way i used matchsticks, so i put like 0.1 g in a tea bag and left it on top of my soil.
So far no results. The gnats even sits on the teabag.
But it never worked right away, (around 2 weeks iirc) leading to believe it might prevent the eggs maturing so it's still early days.
That is a thing when combating pests. Destroying of the egg shell with ph change.

But there was also another thing added to matchsticks in my country, to make them harder to light for safety reasons.
That could also be it.
