I've been rather busy and haven't had the chance to visit the forum much lately, great people here!

Our gardening adventure has really taken off, we've pulled in some big yummy radishes. The broccoli is just crazy big, if I could grow weed plants like this it would be insane. The raised beds got the compost we had and it appears like that really helped.

I'm going to get some seeds in wet paper towels real soon, anxious to get some plants started!

Hi it's a nice design. But I worry it's not strong enough to take any wind when it's covered.
I worry about that also so I'm keeping an eye on. We had some really strong winds a while back and it held up fine but with a cover could be a different story.

We've had good success and I believe the compost played a big part, next year we'll have a lot more of it, our good friend brought over several buckets of kitchen scraps from the casino/restaurant where he was working for a huge kick start. I definitely want some of that compost for my weed plants next year.

We pulled in some fantastic and huge radishes but now those are done and the cucumber has taken over that space. We've had a couple good ones and there'll be more. Other things are doing reasonably well, we've used some of the spinach in our salads and perhaps we'll soon have some peas, carrots and tomatoes. There's a squash plant that looks sad but I don't like squash anyway. That and a few others in pots on the patio were given to us by some friends.

The prickly pear cactus we brought back from Tucson a year or so ago has really taken off! If it flowers with some fruit eventually we'll be making prickly pear margaritas!
