Hello, I have decided to start my own thread to document this years journey.

I will probably still pop into the 2026 outdoor grow thread too.

This year's I am growing three strains

Sour Diesel(2)-10 Gallon
Purple Ghost Candy(3)-10 Gallon
Granddaddy Purple(1)-50 Gallon

Nutrients: Fox Farm Grow Big, Fox Farm Buds and Blooms, Fox Farms Tiger Bloom, TPS Silica Fertilizer, Bush doctor Cal-Mag

Soil: I always tend to go the cheapest route here. I used my own mix of peat moss, compost, perlite, and an organic potting soil. Pretty much the same I did last year.

This will be my first attempt at a pot bigger than 10 gallon. So the Granddaddy Purp will be a little experiment this year for me.I am very excited.

This pot is massive btw 😆.

Last year I got my outdoor cover built

and this year I recently finished adding a door and covering the rest of the siding in bug screen. So the grow area is set up nicely early this year.

I just planted the seeds tonight so I will continue to make updates here on how things go and are going.

I will be starting them inside before moving them outside.

Thanks for reading if you got this far.

See you next time.

Looks good although Im an indoor grower. Best of luck. I will try and follow your grow. Whats your basic location (state if in US)? How many hours of direct sunlight? Which way does that side of the house face? Hopefully the screen will help elimate pest.

Nice set up, and line up.
Simple well known nutes.
Plenty of height for full grows.
50 gal..!! ? Going for a monster are we.!!
Gotta grow at least one, if not just for the experience 😆
I'm an outdoor grower, but mine go in ground. This year may be an acception, I'm looking at 2 going in pots, and 5 in ground. ( Ran outta room in the garden 😖)

I'm looking for a different flavor, for each day of the week. 😋 Only smoking a couple different strains all year kinda gets boring. Tolerable, but gets a little old after awhile. But it sure has been nice not having to buy weed anymore, and have pounds to smoke and share with friends.

I gave away a1/4 pound between all my co workers for Christmas, and another Oz to my closest, but departed, friends wife. And a Oz to another friend who used to be my dealer for most of my life. Well we used to be partners...untill marriage came along. Wife wasn't having any part it 😮‍💨. But kids are grown and gone, it's legal, and I got the green light from the wife to go wild child.🤗

I'll be watching u. Mine will be in the outdoors thread. Not really much to document but progression throughout the season, except how I amend the dirt in my garden, before transplanting my seedlings.

Best of luck, and a bountiful harvest to you.

Thanks! Im in VA. The sun rises on the left side of my backyard and slowly moves to the right side of my backyard. So there is direct sunlight basically all day long. Besides maybe the first hour of the early morning. It faces south.
Last year I had the sides covered in plastic up top and the screen only on the underside and it did help to get rid of a lot of pests the doorway was open though so this year im expecting it to help even more.

Yea i wanna try growing a tree this year haha 😄

I look forward to seeing your progress! Yea its definitely nice not having to buy it all the time and being able to gift some to friends. I gave away a good bit last year to family too.

My thread will mostly be progression as well.

The sour diesel and 3rd pgc have begun to break soil. The gdp also fully came through. The leaves for one of the PGC were stuck inside the shell of seed had to remove manually but came off with little effort.

Will update again in a few weeks.

Was looking at last years grow and my plants this year are behind one set of leaves compared to last year on this day. I think its due to me being slower to move them outside this year because the weather hasn't warm enough yet.

I use basic plant lights for the seedlings. I probably should have bought a better one. Live and learn. I usually just dont rely on the lights very long so was never concerned to get a better one.

By this date last year I already had my plants out full time. So hopefully things still turn out great.

I just use 65k x 2400 lu fluorescent bulbs for seedlings. Works great, and no fear of burning them. Even when they touch the bulbs. And their cheap, too.

I started my reg seeds 3/10, two weeks earlier than the fems so I'd have time to sex them before going outside permanently. ETTP 5/10

I will definitely be looking into something similar. Those look great! Around when do you start introducing your nutes?

A half feeding at end of first week. Then full feeding two weeks later. Haven't fed since...just water
I start with miracle grow, slow release dry organic fertilizer, once outside I'll hit um with Jacks, fertilizer. Along with the fish and manure incorporated into the soil.

Hey Grownies! Looking good from what I see so far. I was late getting started in Zone 8A, but plenty of time left.
Let this be a great season for us all!!!
Yea i think the cold weather has kinda stunted my plants. I keep them in the basement during seedling stage and wasn't running the heater probably as much as I should. Its been a lot colder this year.

Either that or I was overwatering. Possibly a combination of the two. I haven't seen much growth the past two weeks. Kinda disappointed in myself there.
I recently transplanted them to bigger pots and the soil was much more wet than I expected it to be so there may have been a time I double watered and didnt realize it.

Anyways they are in bigger pots and outside fully now. So hopefully things still turn out okay but as of now my plants are way behind.

So I actually think the problem is the soil I used this year. Im going to attempt to amend it and see what happens.

Im also starting more plants because im unsure if I will continue with these tbh.
Really kicking myself.

What soil did u use. I started mine this year in ProMix BX. Real happy with it. Plants much better than last year's. I've already had to top them, and lots of branching already. Their crying to get in the ground, outdoors.

Looking good man! I used a mix of compost, peat moss, perlite, and potting mix. The same thing I did last year. Though this year I used a different potting mix than last year. This one had a lot more wood chips in it but I didnt think it would be a issue. I guess I was wrong about that. My plants look like they are like 2 or 3 weeks old still. I honestly should've noticed something was wrong long before now. Life's just been busy.

I amended the soil with some happy frog. Really I just packed it all around and under the rootballs and on top. Hoping it does something but im honestly not very optimistic about them currently so im starting some new seeds. Though im now over a month behind for outdoors.. debating hanging some lights up outside and extending their veg a month come August and not let them flower until September.
