Hi,

The tips of the leaves on my baby are starting to slightly curl up. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I’m growing for the first time using an ocean forest and happy frog end with some coco loco sprinkled in.

I’m in a pretty cold and dry basement and my closet setup is a bit jake. I have a snorkel sucking air from the top to the bottom trying to get warm air, I also have a warm mist humidifier next to the snorkel intake to keep humidity up.

I am averaging anywhere from 70-75 degrees in my tent and anywhere from 65%-75% humidity. Light about 20 inches from plant.

(I moved the light up to about 23 inches from plant and moved fan up slightly before taking the photos so I’m hoping that does the trick. But if anyone has any input would be sweet)

Why might these leaves be slightly curling up and should I worry?

Looking fine
Can make one recommendation. The way your tent is set up you will have very little overhead room.
Get a piece of wood slightly larger than the tent and put all the duct work up top. I even have a snazzy soffit fixture with a sticky trap in it.

She's absolutely fine, reefer. When she first sprouts from the seed, all the energy goes into reaching out of the soil. Once it gets to the point you see her now, she's absorbing photons for photosynthesis at the same time that roots are starting to expand. What you're seeing is just new leaves reaching for the light. You'll probably notice what you might think of as "slow growth" over the next week or so. But that's when the roots are expanding below the soil, which feeds growth above the soil.

First grows are filled with anxiety, especially when you see other people's grows and think, "Wow, mine don't look like that!" Be patient, be vigilante, and be curious! Ask for advice, a ton of people with WAY more experience than me will happily provide it. But the best piece of advice I can give is simply, don't overthink it, just enjoy the experience.

Cheers,

BA.

I have a 48x48 and did not have a veg tent. I had a standard 48/96 board cut ( for free 2 cuts home depot ) in half and made a fake floor I can move up and down.
I did this more for my back but also found you lift the floor up and the cubic feet of the tent gets smaller. Easier to heat and humidity/dehumidify.

I have a cold basement also and would rather have the outside cold rather than hot cause cooling a bunch of lights is expensive but then again dehumidification is expensive during flower.
