Good morning all
Hope your Thanksgiving plans are coming together well as it’s about here.
So I am looking towards my 2026 growing season and have been looking at lots of seed opportunities and came back across Hoku Seed out of Washington, small operation and PNW so I sent an inquiry msg to them but while I wait for a response…
Have any of you grown their type 1 THC seed? The price seems good, descriptions seem to be legitimate and they have interesting offerings BUT what’s been grown out and did you like the results?

I have run a a lot of their type 1s.
You'll be waiting forever for a response from Floyd.

I am happy with what I have run
Descriptions seem to be on point.

The Snow white bud shot is superboof x gg4

Bbkm x gg4 Is the second bud shot.

They usually send out freebies in every package.
I have gotten bluey and chem squatch freebies and extra seeds.

Looks like they are going to have a black friday sale.
Iirc they did 50% off last year.

Growing wendigo and snow jokez outdoor 2 of each and all four are already taking off real strong. Took to topping well, plant structure looks as if they will yield strong if the quality matches I’ll be growing again. First time growing Hoku, think I got their seeds on a deal Black Friday tracks. Snow jokez was a freebie wendigo I believe I perused because something I read lead me to believe it would have yield outdoor potential. Ne way so far these were started inside and are about 12 weeks into veg. Been outdoor in ground just shy a month.

I started the King Louis OG from Hoku this year so I could see what they provide.
Seed quality was good in both appearance and germination percentage was 100%. They’ve been moved into 1 gal containers and will be in the ground next week, to this point in their life cycle all seems good, will probably tip them out a few days before the final planting.
Your ahead of me on your schedule and those look good, mine were started in April so not yet bushed out.
A final thought is that if Hoku genetics are solid and they can keep their costs in control I will be happy and return to try more, they are affordable!

I should note my germination rate was no where near as good could be the strains I chose but if I had to guess seemed like old seeds. A lot of my seedlings came out looking wonky after weird starts from seeds a few didn’t germinate at all. Luckily with the quantity given by Hoku I just popped another till I succeeded. Everything that did germinate came back strong though.

That doesn’t sound right and you are quite possibly correct about old seed being the issue but the seeds I got there were the opposite story.
I will do my best to keep this review updated as the season moves along and will get some pics up once they are in the beds -

Sounds good I’ll probably get a journal going here as soon as I get more familiar with the platform. I’m making my rounds through the sites sorting old photos is a nightmare job.

My grow diaries is typically up to date. I’m still curating images previous years so it’s a work in progress. The current grow is usually updated on Monday feel free to follow!

Excited to do some networking and talk shop with other enthusiasts. Cheers to another outdoor season. May your yields be bountiful and resinous.
