Idk if dusty is the correct word it’s just all I can think to use to describe it.
My buds the last 2 runs have had this weird dusty terp across all 9 strains I’m running. They all taste the exact same.
Organic soil Gaia green nutes ph a lil high but nothing crazy. Overall healthy plants.
The only similarity I see between the 2 grows is I had to take trips during both of them, and during both grows in mid to late flower I missed a few (3-5) waterings , buds didn’t get as swollen, lost some fans, etc etc. I know it hurt the end products but
Is me missing the waterings causing this weird dusty taste from my buds??? The dry/ cure doesn’t help at all I can smell the “dust” when I’m harvesting
I closely inspected a lot of them for mold or pm and I couldn’t find anything. Any ideas?

My thoughts are that I’m just cooking the terps off Missing the waterings in late flower. Leaving all my buds to kinda taste mute.
that or perhaps I’m overdoing my nutes and what I’m tasting and smelling is nutrient leftovers

This was my first question : )

Do you spray anything on them at any point in time during flower? Whats your medium and what are you feeding them?

Same strain? Phenos? Hmmmmm? 🤔

This is just what came up when I asked ai

Can you get a loupe’d pic of the buds broke open?
I can when I get home for sure
I have a mini microscope and I can’t see anything on there but maybe better trained eyes could.

Never spray anything on them at all
I use Gaia green nutrients
Hp pro mix for the soil
Using sink water the first run
Then sink water again on the second run but this time with a water conditioner. I give recharge occasionally. Never use ph down or up as ph has generally been good with the sink water however the second run when I noticed it creeping up I added sulfur to the soil/ some of the watering trying to bring the ph down and I noticed my leaf color go back to normal with no adverse effects.

No worries, take your time on the pic! But it could help, along with some other eyes checking it out : ) but if you arent seeing anything, its probably all good.

You say dusty might not be the right description… could it be, “earthy”. I’ve had some really nice flavor and smell in that realm. But it was never off or concerning to me. Just spit ballin here to try and help. ✌️

shot in the dark here , but when i used gaia green i found the dust went everywhere if you weren't real careful when feeding.
did you bud wash? i had gaia dust on every bud.
maybe that's what you taste
I did budwash, I feel you on the went everywhere part. I try to moisten it down before I mix it in. Always with fans off. Could be what I’m tasting but it smells like it too so idk. And it doesn’t necessarily smell like the nutes out the jar yknow?
