What's the maximum amount of nodes I can have to keep the plant pot tall

Does not work like that.
If you can find a journal with a grow in it with that specific strain and you hit the genetic lottery and get the same presentation and finish.......
Best bet is to research the strain for the average stretch and plan accordingly.

Most guys top at 5th or 6th node. That leaves enough vegetation to keep the plant going, and promote more branching rather than straight vertical growth.

U can control some heighth with HST and LST, but the plant is going to do what it's going to do.

If your growing outside and want smaller plants, start them later in the season. I like big girl's, the kind u pull a chair up next to for shade, in the summer sun. πŸ˜‰

And I'm not talking about the ones with an arse so big....a dress won't fit it. πŸ˜†

Don't quite understand your question. Theres lots of ways to keep a plant short. Tells us more about where your growing.......tent, outdoors, in a pot?
Outdoor trying to hide behind my raspberry plants

You can bend them over and run them latterly: ) you gotta start training them early. The two plants in the background left side, cant see them well in this pic, i let them ride and they got tall! lol
