As somebody who has really made an effort to pay attention to the medical benefits I'm getting from cannabis, pain relief comes through two different mechanisms. The first and most immediate is the effect on the nervous system and suppression of pain sensation in the nerves. The second is an accumulative anti-inflammatory effect that happens and it's an on-ramp of about 2 weeks of daily use before that kicks in... And this stays in the system providing the anti inflammatory effect for a good week or 2 after cessation. It tracks to a similar schedule of its SSRI (anti-anxiety / antidepressant) properties. Like Prozac or Trazadone, it takes a couple weeks before it's providing meaningful benefit in that role. Just going by my own observations and I've replaced a shitload of ineffective pharmaceuticals with just cannabis. I used to pop ibuprofens a couple times a week. Now I'll go a month or 2 before I might need one for something that's not inflammation related. Sleep is another delayed one. An edible will knock you out if you need a one-off, but more regulated, cyclical sleep arrives at about the 2 week mark as well. If you want to give medical cannabis a trial run, give it a month of daily use and then do a personal evaluation.

Edit: The one side effect I run into is the short term memory loss and general brain fog. As in not just forgetting something from an hour ago. Like literally forgetting what I'm saying mid sentence. Or leaving a room and going to another room for something and completely forgetting why I needed to go into that room in the first place. My wife doesn't partake and she gets that sometimes too, so I can't blame weed for all of it. We are also just getting fucking old. 🤣

Whenever I don't smoke weed for some reason I am reminded of what a good anti inflammatory it is. It takes me 3 days to do the recovery I usually do in one.

But to be totally honest I think that effect would probably maybe even out over time. Same with sleep, it's a rough first week but after that I sleep alright. And food, appetite balances out after a while.

It's just less... Fun without weed and fun is an important aspect of life if not THEE most important aspect. So that's medicinal right.

Worst support I ever got came from ACE Seeds yesterday. I showed them the plant with the leave issues, they ask for EC and pH. I tell them I don't messure. The brilliant answer: "

I did terrible in school until I started smoking weed I have replaced disk in my back and I had a compressed disk in my neck I don't know how much it kills pain as much as with it I just don't care

I take back the insult from the end of my rant. Still... it's not about what you say, but how you say it.

"Yeah buddy, better to messure your EC. We advice you to stay within range YXY.... Do this for Strain A... Do that for Strain B.... for now we advise you to keep an eye on this that and the other..."

Aint so hard, isn't it? I used to work in tec support for a bit, so I should know. As it stood, I would call that a "fillerbuster" some request to buy time if you have
1 no time to deal with the issue currently
2 don't feel like putting in the work
3 hope the issue will resolve itself over the weekend


Anyway, fuck it. I will get high now and calm down 🤡🪴💚

37 days down for some frosted guava courtesy of Original Sensible Seeds. One of the most bitter leaf profiles I've have for a while. Every time I pinch a leaf off I reek for an hour.

*(Mango Haze X Afghan Haze) X KC mango regs (Mr Nice/KC brains)
*Durban Poison X Bangi Haze (MSNL X Ace Seeds)
*(C99 X Juicy Fruit) X La Niña (Butterbean and Mr Nice)

Leaning towards the C99 X so far but shit changes left right and centre. Gotta thank a few good blokes for all the chucks too.

Like that widow Nevill shoemaker Went Brazil and said it was a rare sativa the only thing worth bringing back.He was one of the breeders for Greenhouse seeds and they weren't getting recognition for there work also Scott Blakey Change it to Black Widow also took the mother plants with and opened Mr.Nice Seeds including Howard Marks hash smuggler. a partner .
