Thanks i have a feeling you may be on the money. Only the last 2 waterings have i watered untill runoff. So possibly not enough of a soaking and maybe too often was every 3 days so far untill now and have been in plastic pots till 2 days ago. Can they still be slightly damp and ready for a water. The pots seemed light when i transported but was still a little damp. For reference they seemed alot lighter than the runts i left in plastic pots.
May be the go till i dial it in. Do you have a target range?I loathe the things but in your instance I suggest getting a water meter till you got the hang of when to water and when not to
Yea have been trying to acquaint myself withe weight of a pot thats dried out and comparing it to just watered. Whats the reason for disliking the meters? Very fresh to the whole thing and dont want to mess them up, weeks down the drain would suck this is a few hours onThere’s no target range it will just tell you if the soils wet or dry.
It might be your best bet till you get used to watering.
Try lifting the pots up get used to the weight of a dry pot/wet one
Till them a water meter might be your best option
If that floor is cold get them up off it onto risers. They appear to be overwatered and cold.
Yea that will do it lol.Really its because I no longer need them after 35+ years of growing.
I did use one when I first started growing.
I think this was a large part of the issue. Am also starting to get a feel for watering etc now. Appreciate the helpI am not a coco grower, but pretty sure daily waterings with nutrients and ph buffer is needed. @Galgrows is bang on......pots/roots are too cold!!
Once corrected, your plants will explode with growth![]()
Boy fella those turned around
Sorta feel like i got the veg stage dialled in now, took everyones advice and am getting a feel for watering. Environment is on the money ppfd and vpd wise so now i guess i just have to hope i dont screw them in flip. Have puchased a dehumidifier and run ducting to my laundry to use as a lungroom as its a nice small space to get the humidity down in. Any other tips anyone has im all ears.Boy fella those turned around nicely.
Took longer to get lung room setup, have made a few changes. Going to try my hand at drip irrigation as i have the runoff under control and understand watering needs a little more now. Here is the latest. Any tips for the flip?Boy fella those turned around nicely.
