We’ve been working on a major upgrade to THCFarmer, and we’re excited to start rolling out what’s next for the community.
This is more than a visual refresh. We’ve been rebuilding key parts of the site so THCFarmer can better support how growers actually use the forum: documenting grows, troubleshooting plant problems, sharing photos, comparing strains, following community activity, and connecting with other members.
The goal is simple: keep the heart of THCFarmer the same while giving the community stronger, cleaner, and more useful tools.
What’s New
THCFarmer Grow Diaries
Grow Diaries gives members a better way to document grows from start to finish.
Instead of grow journals being scattered across regular threads, diaries are being built around the grow itself: strains, breeder and release information, updates, photos, progress, harvests, and grow history.
Members will be able to post updates over time, keep their grow information organized, and make it easier for others to follow along, learn from real-world results, and connect grow reports back to specific strains and grower experiences.
THCFarmer Infirmary
The Infirmary is being rebuilt as a dedicated plant-health system for troubleshooting grow problems.
Members will be able to create more structured help requests for sick plants, pests, deficiencies, lockout, watering issues, environmental problems, and other grow-related issues.
The goal is to make it easier for helpers to quickly understand what’s going on by giving them the details and photos they need. This should make “what’s wrong with my plant?” threads easier to answer, easier to follow, and more useful for future growers searching for similar problems.
THCFarmer Live
THCFarmer Live is the foundation for a more active, real-time layer of the community.
This system is being built to support live grow-related content, host tools, video and live workflows, and replay-style content as the platform continues to develop.
Some Live features may roll out in phases, but this is a major step toward making THCFarmer feel more active, connected, and dynamic beyond standard forum posts.
THCFarmer Photo of the Month
Photo of the Month is getting a proper rebuild.
The new POTM system is being designed around nominations, voting, reminders, winners, prizes, and showcasing the best photos from the community.
Great grow photos have always been a big part of THCFarmer. This gives them a better home and makes contests easier to run, easier to join, and better at highlighting members who are sharing standout work.
THCFarmer Profiles
Member profiles are being upgraded to better show who each grower is and what they contribute to the community.
Profiles will do a better job surfacing member activity, content, photos, grow-related posts, and public media in a cleaner, more useful way.
Instead of feeling like a basic account page, profiles should become a better snapshot of each member’s place in the THCFarmer community.
THCFarmer Strains
The new Strains system is one of the biggest upgrades.
THCFarmer Strains is being built to organize strain information, breeder and release data, images, related grow reports, and real grower experience.
The goal is to move beyond a basic strain list and create a more useful strain resource connected directly to actual community grows, discussions, photos, and feedback.
Members will be able to browse, search, compare, and explore strains in a way that better reflects what growers actually care about.
Why We’re Doing This
THCFarmer has always been about growers helping growers.
These upgrades are being built to make that easier.
They should help new growers find answers faster, help experienced growers share better information, help members document their work more clearly, and help the community preserve valuable grow knowledge instead of letting it disappear inside old threads.
What To Expect
As these upgrades roll out, you may notice new sections, updated layouts, new buttons, improved profile areas, and new ways to browse and interact with content.
Some features will continue to be polished, adjusted, and expanded as we test them with real members and real forum activity.
If something looks off, feels confusing, or does not work the way you expect, please report it so we can keep improving the experience.
This is a major step forward for THCFarmer, and there is more coming.
Thank you to everyone who continues to post, help, share photos, document grows, and support the community.
These upgrades are being built for the growers who have kept THCFarmer alive all these years, and they are meant to make the community stronger for everyone.
