I'm confused on when I should harvest my plant I looked at the sugar leaves and most of the trichomes are cloudy a little amber but some are still clear. I learned online that you're also supposed to look at that calyxes and I've snapped a few photos They're not the best but if someone could help me with deciding if it's time or if I should still wait. This is my first time growing and I am 8 weeks one day into the growing journey. Some of the pictures I have selected are also pictures of the sugar leaves.

i wouldnt chop that yet

yer sugar leaves are foolin ya some. them little frosty leaves will show cloudy and amber before the actual bud is finished. they get beat up by light and age first. old timers used to check the calyxes not the trim leaf, same deal now even if folks got fancy usb scopes and charts for everything

from the pics shes still throwin a lot of white hairs and the buds dont look like theyve done that last swell yet. when theyre closer youll see those calyxes puff up, pistils pull back in and darken, and the flowers will look more settled not still reaching

id say you got time. probably 2 weeks easy maybe 3 depending how she runs. dont go by the seed pack number on them auto candy lines either. commercial seed sellers love tellin folks 8 weeks like its a microwave dinner. plant dont care what the package said

check trichs on the actual bud meat not the sugar leaf. middle of the plant is better than the very top too. tops can look older from the light. look for mostly cloudy heads on the calyxes with a little amber if you want heavier smoke. if you want it racier take it with less amber but i still wouldnt take this one today

also them burnt tips say shes had plenty of food or light at some point so i wouldnt be hammerin her with more feed now. just keep her steady. good wet dry cycle, clean air, dont start changing everything in the last stretch. Critical Mass type flowers can get chunky so keep air moving and dont let humidity sit in there like a wet canyon

first grow looks fine. patience is the hardest part. everybody wants to chop when the resin first shines but real medicine comes after the plant finishes her work not when the internet chart says so

Totally agree with @dankstranger
The sugar leaves turn early as said focus on the buds
Also said still Lots of white hairs.
When the flowers look more like buds & the calyxes are Swollen is a good time to check.
Also roughly agree two to three weeks I would think a tad longer than two weeks mind
