Weekly feeding/training/trimming.

After a few… ummm… incidents, the girls are showing signs of life! IMG 2554IMG 2557IMG 2558IMG 2555IMG 2556IMG 2559IMG 2556IMG 2559IMG 2555IMG 2558IMG 2557IMG 2554

Bit of advice. I would ditch the metal cages.
Cannabis is a superaccummulator of heavy metals thru its root system. So much so that hemp is used as such at heavy metal waste sites.

But the metals are accumulated through the roots after the metal ions are made available through PH and/or microbes, not through aerial contact. I think you would get more damage to the plant than anything else but I've seen a lot of people using it, remesh, fencing and wire.

Never heard of that before, learn something new everyday. I did look up if the concrete reinforcement wire is use is bad. Here’s what I found
Rust and Soil: Rebar and reinforcing wire are primarily iron. As they rust, they release tiny amounts of iron, which is actually a beneficial micronutrient for plants.
I’m safe.

I use it because, I have it left over from jobs and it’s handy. People voiced concerns about abrasions etc on the plant from rubbing. I’ve found it’s of concern, meaning it’s minimal. Compared to not using it and have my plants get wreck by the wind.

You dont know what the F is in the corroding metal that is most likely from china lol.

Getting prepped for the heat because it's definitely coming. And a little bit of privacy from above is never a bad thing either.

Exactly and this is why there are so many answers, because there are so many answers and just the slightest change in the question's dynamic and context adds more gray....and I like gray 🤣

I’ve never had issues with any cages not many choices to support big ass colas ?

I've had no issues with damage from using the vinyl coated garden fencing and Jute, for supporting my plants.
We get some pretty nasty storms of high winds and heavy rain around harvest time, so I took full precautions to protect my plants.

Made it a little difficult cutting down at harvest, but well worth not loosing a single branch or limb. And then it was repurposed for hanging and drying.

I reuse anything I can, so if I got and I can use...you can bet at some point, I will.
