hey, this is my design for a sealed room system, will be growing in soil, using 4x 300 watt 3 chip leds. anything ive missed or any problems pointed out would be most aprecieted included a pic of some white skunk plants that are a little over 3 weeks. its in a loft (hence the triangle shape) that is well insulated, regulating the temp shouoldnt be to hard as the leds give of practically no heat, co2 will be provided via compressed cylinder, im still just trying to wrap my head around a completly closed system, the air purifier im planning to use is,( well theres one the humidifier and in the air cooler will this clean the air enough?)an evaporative one and the humidifier has a water filter.

the blue squares in the pic loft1 are vents.

so as i said guys any sugestions welcome.

you may need to get a de-humidifer for flowering room at night. Some rooms CAN get humidity over 70% at night once you start flowering in a sealed room. If the relative humidity is low you may be able to get away without one.

But just wanted to let you know to check nighttime RH when in flower and be prepared to handle it.

C02 is heavy and will fall to the ground. good idea to have fans pointing up to keep the co2 directed towards the plants stomata (underside of leaves)

hope that helps

You could use 1 - 20 lb tank. I imagine you may get about a 2 weeks (dont hold me to it, is just to try and give you an guesstimation :)
With one 20lb tank, but all is relative to the amount of c02, how airtight your room is and what stage your plants are in.

I use 2 -20 lbs tanks, in a 10x11x8 room. One tank last as little as 5 days or as long as 12-14 days. I use 2 tanks so if I cant get one refilled I got a spare to use until then. That way the plants are never without c02.

Here is a thread that covers alot of questions.etc:

Another good source with videos explaining equipment and building "the perfect room", is urbangrower dot com. (He will tell you to buy AN nutrients, keep that in mind, all part of there nutrient marketing. )

shopping at the dro store for equipment

a medical garden before being transformed

perfect room makeover

same grow later after the makeover

Hope that helps.

total cost so far around 1100 ÂŁ
still waiting on the new leds to arrive.
ive just ordered some jack flash seeds which are an all-female version of Jack Herer´s direct descendant. im runnin out of space in my grow cabinet and have resorted to moving some outside during light time as to give the smaller ones a chance under the led. i was gona upload some more pics but i will do it later when every man and his dog are not online

Your electrical sockets and other equipment work just fine with no corrosion in the same humidity range you want to keep for proper growth (50%). Just don't spray the sockets with any liquids and you're fine. If they are in danger of this, you can always put an outdoor cover on plugs in question. Side note: I know very little of growing with LED's, but it looks like your original diagram shows the lights mounted to the loft roof. I had heard that the LED's need to be very close to plants for proper light intensity. Not an expert, just something I would think about.

the leds are lowerable on a chain and 4 300w leds in the space im using is pretty powerful, ive looked online at weather proof sockets and i think they might be the way to go as you can never be to careful with electricty, thanks

here are the pics the larger plants are white skunk the two in the front are contendors for mother hood and the smaller ones getting the led love at the back are coming on nicely, the seedlings are a super skunk and ive started early i believe to lst one which im hoping to turn into a monster, of kracken proportions. as where ive been runing out of space iim using a couple of energy saving bulb floodlights to boost the light and give better penertration as its pretty crowded in the cabinet, they surprisingly work quite well and give off little heat and arent crack heads for electricty. and incase any1 is wondering the plant infront the small one is a salad plant, nice in sandwhiches! all coomments and

the build is moving along, all the insulation is in took longer than expected due to the amount of crap in loft, almost found a japanese soldier up there who wasnt sure the war was over but got it cleared out.. the pics of the build show the insulation obviously next step is to board over and then paint and seal. the pics of the plants, my lst project is moving on, does it need trimming?
the plants in the front are a little leggy but this is due to it being a few degress over optimal i think im adrresing that, the ones in the back got a little underwaterd due to heat i think and they also need to be repotted but i cant do that until there moved into the "burj" and a color that came up under the led photo is slighty puzzling. im a bit tight for space at the moment, the jack herer have germiinated nicely and so have the other 20 that i started should really of waited but , what can i say i got a little excited, all comments or questions welcomed another couple of days the "burj" will be finished.
i decied to up my light order to another 4 x 300w and a 1x 120w l.e.d.s as u can never have to much light.

i will start my grow diary within the next coouple of days, need to check out some good topping and fimming vids.
as usual its not likeing my pics i will add these later as all work and no play makes jack a dull boy..:)
