First Grow, OGKush, Cherry Pez clones

I have purchased two clones from my local cannabis club and have built
my own little cheap set up in my closet. im currently using only
two 26w CFL lights, as i only have two clones as of right now to test the way
things are going. i have pictures from my first day reciving both plants and i have my share of questions.

question 1 being how can i tell if my plants are ready to start the flowering stage.? or how far along is it in the stage its already in.?

question 2 depending on the stages of each plant what should my lighting conditions be time wise.?

please feel free to give me any info as i am new to growing and would like any tips are advice you have in mind.

the first pics are of the much smaller cherry pez strain while the other is the much bigger OG kush strain.

I usually wait until they're 1 1/2-2 ft tall. Like the bigger one you have there... It's ready to flip to a 12/12 light cycle. Also, look into hps lighting for flowering. Maybe a 400 wt if it''s your 1st grow. You don't need much light to veg but flowering is a different story. Look into ventilation too. When your plants start to bud you need constant airflow. And when your lights are off it needs to be completely dark. Your plants are gonna need more room too.

Oh, 18/6 or 24/0 for vegging and 12/12 for flowering. I think you asked that question.

I was also wondering if you could tell me if the smaller plant will get any bigger.?
At the root of the stems I already see small orangish hairs growing in, should I put into 12/12 with the bigger clone or keep it at a 18/6.?

Day 4 pics

This is pictures from day 4 of the flowering stage for both plants. i decided
to throw the much smaller one back into 12/12 with the OG because i do not have enough room to keep them going under different light schedules. ive noticed the smaller plant growing more little buds and orange hairs. is the little one growing faster then the other one.?

Update

Ive upgraded to 4 46w CFL's in a grow bow, and i have also switched over from MG soil and nutes to all organic soil and FOXFARM nutes im using Tigerbloom for my current flower. been using for about a week and the Bud production is looking GREAT. check out pics and leave feed back

Looks like someone is getting the hang of shit. Switched to all organic huh? Nice progress mikeyB. Only gonna get better from here one out. Good job so far bud.
