The check valve just needs to go after the pump before any of the valves. And the timer really doesn't matter as long as there is enough zones for what u are doing. I like the 9 zone timer but if your grow is not very big the 6 zone will do fine

This is exactly the kind of help I needed, thank you so much!

I get the idea behind the recirculating line now, but do you need one if you have the reservoir well aerated?

And is there a type of emitters on dripworks.com that you recommend?

You don't need the recirculating line but it is really nice when adjusting the pH or ppm of your rez. Even with the recirculating line my 100 gallon rez takes at least 5 min to stabilize when adjusting ph. I will check out some of the sprayers. Im happy to help

Thanks for the drip works link that place is cool. I think u could probably use any emitter on there but I us the red colored sprayers. If you go to the non adjustable sprayers page you will see them. There are different sizes/colors.

I just come off my manifold/ octabubbler with the 1/4" hose to each plant site. Then I put a tee in the line and run 2 sprayers per plant. I clip the sprayers into the clip in sprayer stakes. I aim tge sprayer down. Those things will really spray

The tee and 2 sprayer per plant is a great idea! What size octabubblers should I get? The biggest ones?

Do you place the emitter/sprayer upside down?
MSH

And yeah that dripworks site is cool - there are better prices at homedepot though but it's nice to be able to order everything at the same place

Yeah I put the sprayers upside down or else they will spray a 5 foot circle. I also saw some "C" sprayers that would serve the same purpose.
I have never used octabubblers but the manifolds I get take a 1/2" pipe thread supply and go out to 6-1/4" barb fittings with no regulating or flow control

That is what I use I'm sure the big octabubbler will work just fine also and yeah get the big

If I use the pump that I linked to you, will I need a sump pump inside the res also?
MSH
MSH
I have two rows of tables, by placing a sprinkler control valve at the beginning of each row before the octabubblers I'm turning the two rows into two zones right?

You only need a sump pump inside the rez if you pump out of the top. I'm just guessing but those pressure pumps are not self priming. Mine are not. If you can plumb off the bottom straight into the pump you should be fine

And yes you are correct about the valves/zones. Valves are cheap don't be shy about using enough of them. The less plants on a zone the harder they spray.

I run 4 of the 6-way manifolds per zone and they spray like hell. If I have clean filters I can run 2 zones at one time manually and they still spray good

One other thing regarding run off. My tables are only 7 inches of the ground being that my room is only 7 feet high, I was going to have my runoff run in to a bucket of some sort of tray, I'm not really sure which, and have a sump pump empty it out of the room and down the drain.

If I go with a bucket it can't be that big and I'll have to cut a corner on one of the tables out to make room for it - but will a sump pump do to empty it? I've never used a sump pump and never even seen one, just think it will work from reading about it here.

Got a better solution for me? I've never ran drip to waste..

And thanks for all your help, I'm pretty sure I have everything down regarding setting up a badass drip system!

I have a room that sits above the ground and I just cut holes through the floor for that one to drain. another room that drains into a gutter and then pumps out . I like the drains that go straight out the most but if you have to use a pump then do it
