I see it more on Sativa dominant strains, and I don't think the resulting buds are any better, or any worse, than the regular buds. Sativas have few trichomes compared to a lot of Indica strains, with the Indica having the frosty nuggets that everyone craves. From my experience, the foxtailed buds don't have the same taste, or maybe I should say not as intense of a taste. It might be the plant's last attempts to make it's surface area/seed potential as maximum as possible beforegiving up... I have also seen small green "horns" growing out of the tips of foxtailing buds. Not sure what the signifigance is, but the horns are about 3/4 inch longad look lke a small green smooth stem. Not like a hermed plant, but a small stem-type thing.

i have read, or heard, somewhere- it's indicative of a stronger pheno, of the strain. i have not seen it proven... but i c it, often and when u consider the percentages of cannabinoids in a strain, are dependent upon thc crystals to plant matter... it would make sense that a foxtail has no stem to speak of, no roots, within... i would believe it would naturally increase the strain percentages, in so doing. I've noticed the ones which do this, tend to go on til the end of time, with new, white pistals... vs ambering n dying off... and they'll b froggy, as the rest... harvest wise.
