    L.E.D. Argument Thread For Dummies:)

It’s interesting how they turn down the PPFD after bulking phase and then again for the last couple days.

    L.E.D. Argument Thread For Dummies:)

Strip lights have the most even/best light/par distribution which is important in scrog growing. Just be careful during unboxing, mounting, use strong rope ratchets. When they hang low and you work under be mindful when standing up so your head don’t hit the light.

    L.E.D. Argument Thread For Dummies:)

I know eh. There’s a market open for a top shelf LED that’s made in Canada. Or just a US manufacturer expanding with a warehouse into Canada.

    L.E.D. Argument Thread For Dummies:)

Early this year I purchased and started growing with growers choice roi 780. I’m wondering if dimming the lights during flower to 25% or even 50%, to reduce brightness for my eyes, could cause enough stress for seed production? I like dimming the lights to check the plants overall health when...

    Post your Organic Soil Mix

So far I’ve covered pages 1-10 of this thread and it seems everyone has small variations but organic soil recipes are similar. Especially when it some to EWC, peat, coco, perlite, etc. Some use what they got for Calcium. There are several sources for that. Likewise the NPK can be sourced from an...

Also if you like growing with Gaia buy bulk, the 10 or 20 kg paper bags.

    Post your Organic Soil Mix

Are you considering Gaia’s suggested doses on their package direction? You can email them and ask if this many nutrients is okay, beneficial or detrimental. I’m surprised you didn’t add Gaia’s superfly insect frass. Not sure about the Langbeinite, might give a potassium burn. Are you using...

    Post your Organic Soil Mix

I just started a worm and composting bin this year. You can amend your soil; clayey soil needs gypsum and sandy soil needs green sand. Cannabis grows are big money and you risk bugs, larvae and viruses from using backyard soil.

    Post your Organic Soil Mix

Excellent for first time. I recently got Gaia’s super insect frass and Natures Nectar Terpene Plus. Im on here to dial in the ratios in tbsp per gallon for my different nutrients. On Youtube Mr. Canucks Grows says prefixing soil 50/50 blend 444 & 284 @ 3 tbsp/Gal for flower phase of photos and...

ECO's Electric Sky Es300 vs Fluence's Spydr 2p vs Scynce's Raging Kush - looking for informed help

scynce let’s us know 2.0 does 1000 ppfd at 6-9 inches. I saw that “even distribution” map. Why a 6-9 inch range? Did scynce take corner/edge measurements at 6 inch and center measurements at 9 inch to get that ppfd distribution map? It was not generated by a third party but by scynce. I wasn’t...

ECO's Electric Sky Es300 vs Fluence's Spydr 2p vs Scynce's Raging Kush - looking for informed help

Good info. I heard plants respond better to a UV pulse. Timer 1 day ON, then 1 day OFF, 1 day ON, 1 day OFF etc. I chose growers choice roi 720. You get more light for less upfront cost. I will wait for kush 2.0 to get reviewed this year and like you said will probably end up getting it.

ECO's Electric Sky Es300 vs Fluence's Spydr 2p vs Scynce's Raging Kush - looking for informed help

I’m leaning on raging kush 2.0 out of the lights you mentioned. Spectrum tuning seems like the future but I rather wait on research to catch up and educate. This light needs field tests. Just like tuning an engine involves running it for the right sound, idle, power. Are Scynce’s programmed 5...

CalMag difficiency, or light too strong?

I checked and didn’t notice thrips. I just watered her with compost tea that had 6 tablespoon molasses to 4 gallons water. If that doesn’t help next watering I will try synthetic CalMag. I don’t want to break my organic grow but I have heard claims from a commercial grow of synergy from using...

CalMag difficiency, or light too strong?

I have a half inch top dressing of expanded clay pebbles for decor, protection of microbes from the light, reduction of evaporation. Underneath that I’m using 2-3 parts peat to 1 part compost with some amendments that didn’t have enough calmag.

CalMag difficiency, or light too strong?

Organic grow. The only source of CalMag has been through compost tea with molasses and there is some glacial rock dust in the soil. Some leaf stalks becoming slightly red/purple. On the next transplant will be adding gypsum and dolomitic limestone (in a week). Adding compost tea today (with...

I'm not sure if my plants are ready (Urgent)

I heard you can increase resin if you turn the lights OFF for the last 24-48 hours prior to harvest. Or if you have a tunable spectrum shut off the far reds.

I don’t know which LED to buy?

Thanks for the feedback. I bought growers choice 720. An important factor I didn’t mention was low mounting height. I’m growing autos in a short basement. This light has a short mounting height. Its several hundred dollars cheaper than gavita, scynce, thinkgrow so I think it’s good value. Also...

I don’t know which LED to buy?

I’m shopping for a new led for a 4x4 or a pair for a 2x4 each. Dimmable, best diodes, generous far red, 1000 ppfd average and not too expensive. So far I’m considering growers choice 720. I’m suspicious scynce raging kush 2.0 isn’t as great as it’s marketed to be. They don’t mention their...
