Coco needs calmag from what ive read from the start. I just started growing in coco and have used calmag at 1/2 strength at an ec of 0.5. The seedlings are looking healthy so far and its day 8. I have a cfl 125w 5inches away. People do replant so it should be ok?
The more advise the better pal. We all need to learn. Thanks for your help on feeds. Can you mix the calmag and formulex or canna nutes together or should you do them seperate?
Thank pal thats really good advise. Ive done it at 1/4 strength like you said and gonna try a feed schedule of once every 5/6 days. Play it by ear as you suggest
Im using coco coir pro plus and my 2 seeds have germed in root riots. I have read that coco coir needs nutes from start as there is nothing in them. Should I add 0.5ml cal mag to 1l of water at ph between 5.8-6.0 and ep 0.5 and same with forumlex ..to the coco before I plant the root rapid...
First time grow and after months of research thought I would give it a go. Planted 3 and this one is the only one showing life but only day 3. I didn't pre soak and put them straight in. I have 3 spare if this fucks up. Cold country means keeping an oil heater on so im keeping the temp 23c in...
Hope you don't mind me churping in but i am a new grower too and planted in root riot. I put seed straight in and think its germinated but it looks like its upside down. Been doing loads of reading and it seems like they will naturally sort themselves out is this right?
I like it. Good advise. My hands are quite shakey so was worrying about transplanting the germinated seed into soil. I was torn between straight into soil or these root riot cubes and coco coir cause you can put the seed straight in, then the cube can go straight into the coco once its spouted...
Thanks pal will do. Am gonna treat them as my new babies. I don't see the point of growing them if they aren't treated properly so I am trying to follow the best advise. Thats why i skipped the paper towel method and straight into root riots as I thought they would be my best chance. So far so...
