What are some effective ways to tie down plants in double layer pots with hydroton

Thanks for the heads-up on the ppm. I have heard from other's same concerns. It's a little too late... time for a Res change. Do you think I should drop dowm? I have a roll of plastic 3/4" pipe hanging strap coming. I have an idea of how to cut fasten it to provide tiedown holes all around. I...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

Thanks for throwing in and reading my post. You are absolutely right. I was using 2-bulb T5 6500K light during germination and the seedling stage. The Humidity dome kept it too far away. I turned on 2 600-watt LEDs and the stretching slowed down to what might be considered, normal. I most...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

I was reading from another site, to remain un-named, that people get different results from topping autos because each circumstance is different. That is why I only topped 2... to see which works better in this case... I can compare. I wasn't sure about LSTing, but I figured if I was careful...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

I made an attempt to top 2 of them but I think I FIMed them. My plants are still very close to the hydroton. Whatcha think... and be brutally honest. I hoped this grow would go smooth, but I knew I'd stumble some feeling around in the dark  I started LST the two I FIMed and one...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

All of the seedlings are being fed from the same reservoir. I think I may know what the problem is. I, now, that this one had stretched more than the rest. I buried it down further in the hydroton. I think the Rockwool is staying too wet. If it survives long enough for significant root growth...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

The girls seem to have taken to their new pot… well… all except one. It was one of the last to pop. It has received the exact same treatment as the others. It is even sharing a pot with the other late popper. I may have to cull it but I’ll wait for now. Rather than try to describe the issue…...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

I am thinking along those lines. That is why I put them up front. If it looks like one or both, or one may be struggling, I'll cull the worst one.

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

Thanks Fangthane... I just bumped up the ph to 6. I germinated 9 seeds. They all popped. I thought that it would be better than just culling 3 out

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

I finally plugged the girls into the system. I’ll give a brief(?) description of the system. 6, 2-gallon ebb & flow buckets, (Active~Aqua) 2 - 25-gallon reservoirs w/air-pump extra water pump for circulation 6" carbon filter with 450CFM in-line blower w/2-speed control 6 - 600-watt Full...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

No water since yesterday and the yellow is 95% gone. I'm going to drain the H2O2 mix tonight. I should have the reservoir mixed and the seedlings in the buckets tomorrow. Should I stay with 500ppm since they are still seedlings or bump it up some? I still don't understand why the 1st ones to...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

It is 6500k. I'm not sure about HO. My guess is yes as it was from a horticulture shop/ @stonestacker I am to an ebb & flow using six, 2- gallon bucket system with hydroton. I'm a little concerned about burying the skinny stems with the hydroton. I am sterilizing my set-up with H2O2 and...

New Grower: Help!! Seedlings falling over

I searched the forums but I couldn't find anything that would fit my situation. I germinated my OG Kush Autos in rock wool. they started popping 5 days ago. I had them in a propagator with/ Dome and heating pad. I immediately lower a 2' - 2 bulb T5 light close to the dome without touching it...

Can rockwool be ruined by being soaked too long before being used?

All but one popped over the weekend! The 1st 2 that popped went straight to the top of the dome. I have the light 2" above the dome. I'm not sure what is up with that. Any thoughts about what I can do differently?

Can rockwool be ruined by being soaked too long before being used?

https://www.thcfarmer.com/cemchris/ https://www.thcfarmer.com/fatmanatee/ I appreciate y'all's help. I had 3 pop overnight I lowered my 2' - 2 bulb, T5 light closer (4"). The temp in the dome shot up to 90°, so I had to raise it. I want to avoid stretch. I had read that T5 6500K was a good...

Can rockwool be ruined by being soaked too long before being used?

Hey Folks I was a little concerned that soaking for too long might change the structure and not let enough air in. I understand that it has to drain. This is my 1st grow and I'm a little apprehensive about everything. 😬 Thanks for reading my post
