Al great ideas for the garden. I shoot my coffee grounds into my hosta garden at home. If something didn’t look to good one year, gets a winter of coffee grounds. Stuff works like a charm. Egg shells and banana Peels go into the wood stove, then broadcast the ash on my garden.

Put them in the ground. One thing I learned from baby rabbits in my garden. Topped by rabbit leaves a “weak” spot where the plant can split later on, it’s happened to me a few times.instead of one main stalk you have two. Add wind and rain, disaster.

I use organic straw, it’s to keep weeds down .like lovegrowingit says, it breaks down and goes back into the ground to feed everything. Grow a big ass bushy plant, plenty of shade. I’ve been a gardener for years. Never gave any Thought to keep roots cool.
