I’m not familiar with megacrop but looking for an easy one part nute system. Do you personally use 1 part for the entire life of the plant? Or do you alter it or add later on.
Thank you both very much. I knew people had to have a way to mix larger than just a bucket at a time. It’s insane that collecting rain water is illegal in my city so putting a catch under my downspout would make me a criminal. But I’m gonna take the chance ;)
What always helps people help answer your question is what’s your light ppfd, ph and nute levels, watering frequency, humidity and temperature. Usually something can be figured out from that.
Hey! So I’ve become proficient and indoor growing with an ebb and flow. I’m trying my hand at outdoor and have 6 plants. My biggest hang up is once I need to start adding nutrients, and need a gallon+ per pot, it seems tedious to continuously mix that many solutions.
So how do yall do it...
Right. Every grow my roots break through the fabric and completely wrap around like a sheet. This is indoors and air pruning is not happening with these air pruning systems lol. However, idk if this would happen outdoors in that environment
I have ebb and flow systems that use fabric pots and they grow through and attach to it every time. I have not seen this however in soil pots as I usually grow indoors without soil so maybe this doesn’t happen often in soil.
I would cut the fabric pot and unwrap the soil. As long as the roots haven’t grown into the fabric too much, they shouldn’t be shocked too much. Not from experience, just from reading but seems a lot of people recommend one early transplant into their final pot instead of multiple transplants...
Aphids are really bad at holding on. Idk about the white flies but I got rid of aphids on my plants by water blasts which might not work in a tent. But an air compressor can blast them off as well. They usually arrive by cross contamination, or floating in the wind, or being put there by...
If you have shell remnants you can very carefully remove with tweezers as mentioned. A tiny bit of water on the skin would help soften it up too. If it’s stunted for too long, I’d consider trying again as your time is limited for veg growth with the autos. I had three stunted out of my crop...
I started my reservoir in the summer and couldn’t get a chiller to drop my temps below 70 and I got pythium/slime before I even knew I had to control that or that it was even a thing. Luckily caught it before it ruined my roots.
I added it at 3ppm and it was gone in 2-3 days completely fixed...
Nice, thanks for the thorough explanation. Reading all the info your first time is convoluted and overwhelming. I considered my seedling phase three weeks after breaking ground and ended up doing 5 weeks more so a total of 8 weeks breaking ground before I changed my timer. I feel like it...
Thanks for that. So you’re saying if this strain says 9-11 week flowering period I would start that now? I flipped 2 Fridays ago on the timer. This would make sense as I found my “seedling” stage was longer than most places said and my “veg” didn’t start until 3 weeks after breaking ground.
Also, my I thought I had enough because my 3 part nutrients have cal mag in it as well. You’d think that plus tap ppms would’ve been enough but it was not.
Also make sure you’re mixing according to their instructions. GH supplements cause lock out if mixed in the wrong order.
Side note is...
Plants take days to recover if they ever get the color back fully. Tap water ppms aren’t specific in what nutrients they are. My plants got calcium deficiency but not mg from tap water before I added nutrients about a week after your current progress. I thought id have enough cal with that...
Yo! As most people do, All of my first posts were all panicking. I got brown algae before I even started because I was test running the system and didn’t think about grow lights hitting the water and thought I ruined my entire system. Fixed that, had some seedlings not make it, had calcium...
