Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Co-recessive isn't really a thing. Genes that express are basically always "dominant", some are dominant because they block the expression of another allele, others can only be dominant when there's no other allele present and so we call them recessive. Co-dominance is where neither can block...

    I'd agree with that :-D

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Codominance isn't the same as relative dominance, Co-Dominance would be a situation where both are expressed when present together or where a heterozygous genotype leads to a phenotype different to what would be expressed were it homozygous for either. generally speaking most of the flowering...

    Strain Guide

The biggest problem is most strains aren't in seed banks they're with private breeders/growers, many strains share names too. (and apparently this is the info from overgrow? http://www.onlinepot.org/grow/800straingentics.htm )

Cool was just saying remember that truebreeding is a verb and so when talking about a strain it needs an "object" after it :p "This strain is truebreeding for ...."

    Strain Guide

No strain can be totally "truebreeding" they can only be "truebreeding" for certain characteristics, e.g. in some plants a single allele causes purple buds. A plant which has two copies of that allele breeds true for that trait but no plant can ever be entirely true breeding, also plants showing...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

I just had to point out that once offspring show a trait controlled by a single recessive allele (which would be 1/4 of the offspring where both parents are carriers) you don't need to stabilise by crossing back to the parents, if you breed two offspring that show the recessive gene *bingo* you...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Yeah I've been on the hunt for ages, but no one is sharing, I'm still looking now. If potency and leaf/branching form are linked in only this trait and no other known traits that'd be very strange don't you think? :p Which'd be something to learn about anyway, I'd also like to see if you could...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Incase I'm not explaining well, the first pic above is the "ABC" (though there's tons of other names) the leaves are weird shaped, small and screwed up with lots of "points" on the leaf and the whole plant grows in a strange way. The second photo (the red one) is a just a Webbed plant that is...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Well ABC I really don't know much about, what I do know is CC magazine and Marc Emery magazine distributed a load of seeds in ~2001 but no one seems to have them anymore, or if they do they won't share. I can see why, they want them to stay secret and unrecogniseable... but I'm going to keep...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Durban is in south africa, there's been some other cool african strains including "nigerian nightmare" which goes deep purple throughout the plant, I've heard the congo has some huge very dark sativa strains too.

It's not ducksfoot I've had duck :-) (lost it but I found another webbed strain instead) Ducksfoot has flat webbed leaves like a maple does, that thing though.... I mean the leaves look so weird and screwed up and really small. It's not a Sage, I've seen a budding shot somewhere and it looked...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Landraces are good but sometimes if there's a particular trait you want it's better to go for that characteristic than the exact landrace if it's possible. On that subject there's a type of strain I'm looking for but it looks like it's not been available anywhere for 10 years Might be called...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

Well all the alleles that contribute to the genetic diversity were already there but spread out, when you breed them together you make one larger pool of potential alleles in the genetics of their offspring, that's not a problem, the problem is not everything that was in the old varieties makes...

Landrace/Original Cultivar Strains...any of 'em still around???

That's not how diversity works though. A species diverges as a result of the occurence and selection for or against different mutations in a population, under different selection pressures as a result of different environments, diversity can't be dilluted, maximum diversity would be a population...

That sounds awesome :-) Do they colour at all? I've been looking for "Vietnam Black" all over, best I got was some hermie Thai * Vietnam crosses which were nice but not amazing (gave me a bit of a headache) and weren't black either. It's almost impossible to get anything like VB now :-( the...
