Thank you! I will have more pics soon to show progress. I’ve also got an expansion in grow space on the horizon!
Currently in a 2x3x5 tent with 400w HPS going. These will finish by April...after, I’m setting up a 5x5x6 with an additional 400w to grow over a 4x4 area SOG type setup.
An increase...
Update. Issue reported at day 29 (2 plants) and day 22 (1 plant). Here are some updated pics as of today day 42/35 since I chose to try and save them, I figured I would share some results.
Feeding schedule established with actual hydroponic nutrients, NO ORGANICS at all.
Changed to RO water...
You can get in-expensive hydro a&b which has calcium in it and use that all the way thru bloom.
General Hydroponics a & b is fairly cheap and pretty good for people I’ve talked to.
I was using city tap water and that for me was a huge mistake. 330 ppm at 8.5 ph measured. If you’re not using...
Here is what organic fertilizer does to coco. And no this isn’t septoria...it’s advanced nutrient lock / cal mag def among other most likely.
Ends up locking out the plant because the ph goes through the floor. It got resolved by flushing with RO water, light hydro nutes (250-300ppm) and about...
The biggest thing is to do your research on coco and learn the best way to go about it. Don’t just depend on others to tell you what to do. Ask your questions to google (not all advice is good advice) and read both sides of the argument. Make up your mind and do what works for you.
Once you get dialed in on the ph of the nutrient solution going in, the plants will start to react and a noticeable change should take only a day or two.
Here is my recovery water /nutes for plants that got locked out from low ph.
The bottle on the left shows 3 ml of cal mag and 4 ml of...
First off a ph pen is invaluable! Also a TDS (total dissolved solids) pen is also invaluable (EC meter is another form).
Get both right away. Stop feeding at full or even half strength! Get Cal-Mag, coco needs it!
You may be locking out nutrients with too low of a ph. All those nutrients are...
Fed 2 plants with the gallon on the left and the healthier of the 3 from the one on the right.
Ph in the coco for #2 & 3.1 are 5.7 and 6.6 respectively. Keep in mind these were 4.8 &5.0 yesterday morning. #3 is still low but seems to be contained. Hence the low feeding ppms for 2&3. They...
I’d have to ask how do you prep your promix? I want to do a critical purple auto and maybe soil would help ensure less problems for it. Ideally one plant in 53” tent so I gotta keep it somewhat small 36x24 footprint with 400w super hps. I have some 5 gal fiber pots and 1 gallon plastic at the...
Thanks! And by the way I was at the grow store today looking at promix among others. I’m not ruling it out as an option because buying RO all the time is gonna be annoying. If I can stretch that out I may be happier myself. So it’s definitely in the table in the future.
Besides I have these going a veg tent in my bedroom and the learning from those in bloom is helping me on these.
One I’m trying to learn supercrop as you can see, and yes recommendations are appreciated on that.
The other I topped and was going to mainline but it popped the twine and tie...
