Coco Grow 2.0 - Full Automation

Dosatron looks very cool, but might be overkill for my application. I will be using peristaltic pumps to mix my concentrated nutrient mixture into my RO water. I've decided to go with Bill Farthing's Jack's 3-2-1 recipe as my nutrient lineup. I am going to try controlling all of this...

Coco Grow 2.0 - Full Automation

Very high level, but I'm starting to put the pieces together to make it a reality. I will definitely have sensors on both reservoirs to measure EC, pH and temps. I have a few different paths I could take: 1. Fill and mix the nutrients on the reservoirs weekly (or as long as the reservoir...

Coco Grow 2.0 - Full Automation

    Best way to handle runoff?

I grow some big ass trees in 2 gallon pots. I set my timer to feed every 3 hours for anywhere from 3-5 minutes each time. You'll spend a day or two getting the feeding times dialed in. The good thing is that you can't overfeed, so the goal is really to dial it in so that you're keeping the pots...

Anyone know any online sites where I can get some 4x4 OD trays for a reasonable price?

My tent is too hot (93*F)

Well feeling a little dumb but also relieved. I had my thermometers on top of a black bucket lid. The lid was soaking up heat from the light and giving me bad measurements. I hung the thermometer canopy level and my actual ambient temps are around 86-88*F. I took some leaf temperatures using...

My tent is too hot (93*F)

Exhaust is at the top of the tent. I only have one circular fan blowing from under the lights upwards, but I can try adding a second fan above the lights too.

My tent is too hot (93*F)

Heat is definitely reduced when it's brought down to 50%. But the output is noticeably lower, at least to the naked eye. I would like to get the most out of my lights when it gets to flower stage.

My tent is too hot (93*F)

The house has central A/C... right now the bedroom is at 79* but the tent is at 91*

My tent is too hot (93*F)

I've got a 4x8 tent. I've recently added two GeekBeast Pro lights. I'm running the lights at 70% power and my tent is at 92*F. I have a 6 inch exhaust fan running at full speed venting directly out the window of the room the tent is in. The ambient temp of the room is about 80-82*F. The tent...

    Best way to handle runoff?

I like to stress extra hard and stoner engineer everything up front so that I can relax and kick back for the rest of my days. It's an ongoing process, but my goal is to have my grow as automated as possible. A successful grow will always require me to get in there with my hands, but reducing...

    Kingbrite review

I'm taking delivery of my Kingbrite 480W today (7 days from payment). $276 + $95 shipping = $371 total. I'm pretty stoked. I'm using it in my 4x4 veg tent so I got the 4000k model. I'm using two Geak Beasts in my 4x8 flowering tent. I feel like an LED god now!!!!

    Best way to handle runoff?

Get yourself a Little Giant shallow condensate pump and you'll be living in the future! I've got my runoff going into a container outside which I use to feed my garden plants. The fruits and vegis love it.

    When to water coco?

As others have said, the beauty of coco is it's versatility. Some treat it like soil and water it every other day, letting it dry out a little and have good results. But I do believe the best results with coco are when you keep the coco consistently moist, and never let it dry out. This is most...

    Best way to handle runoff?

These are facts. My first few cycles I was under the impression that lots of run off is good. I've since done more reading and have learned that the way to do it is constant feedings, multiple times per day. If the coco never gets dry, it will never accumulate salt, and runoff is not...

    Best way to handle runoff?

I've got a setup similar to Enforcer, individual trays for each plant which gravity drain into a bucket which is sump pumped out of the tent. I would be happier with a tray which covers the entire floor of the tent though. I'm thinking about getting a 4x4 tray for my 4x4 tent, and two 4x4s for...
