Very old thread but thought I’d chip in if anyone comes across this, but I found that the pumps got noisy when my airstones were on, I think air getting trapped in the pump makes it noisy. I moved my stones a bit further away and it stopped.

Having UV diodes is almost pointless anyway, far better CFL fixtures that pump out a broader band of UVB and UVA. Of which I have in my grow room. I was not recommending people buy rigs with these diodes on them, but if they wanted to, it’s better to have switchable ones...

IR is over 750nm wavelengths, these new IR diodes are 730nm so don’t generate heat like you think they do. The sun generates IR across a broad spectrum, the 730nm IR is part of a wave length that has very good leaf penetration. For example; IR at 730nm tricks lettuce grown indoors into thinking...

Can get 5 packs of mini hygrometers on amazon/eBay for cheap, work out about 3$ each. I don’t open for the sake of opening, only if RH goes above 65

There are some international seed banks who sell in disguised packaging, not sure how much they would cost though!

Lol same here in the UK, but as hemp seeds are in bird feed, there is no practical way for them to stop seed banks from selling seeds... You need someone on the outside to send you a bunch of decoy seeds with a couple MJ seeds mixed with them 😂

That’s a bummer mate, I think if you’re planning on taking 3 plants through to harvest, I think you need to veg 5/6 of them just so you have enough fems left over to flower... can‘t you get your hands on feminised seeds?

If your jars are good quality and make a good seal, you don’t even need to humidipacks to be honest, I never use them for my own storage, I give them out to pals sometimes when I know they’re going to be opening their own jars often

Agreed, you need some mini hygrometers though for the burping phase, otherwise you’re running blind

In hydro yeah, I always had chlorosis issues staying below 5.9 but each to their own

Not sure how easy you can see, but mine are transitioning at the moment and showed their sex around a week ago. Hairs are coming out...

The one pic with your thumb in it looks like it’s probably a male too. They’re certainly transitioning. Just look out for pistols coming out from the V’s on the stem where the growth tips and fan leaves meet each other.

Post pics of the other ones if you can... if you don’t want seeds, you’ll need to pull out the males ASAP
